Thank Goldman Sachs and the Chinese private equity firm CDH Investments (100 percent return on investments outperforming the benchmark), as well as regulators and politicians for putting meat production in the US under China's control. What an absolutely insane idea: turn food production over to foreign private equity investment banks and firms. The purchase of Smithfield by the WH Group of China was the largest ever takeover of a U.S. company by a Chinese company. Since the coronavirus operation global markets and supply chains are collapsing. Profits jump for China's WH Group while in the US agricultural production including pork production is dropping? The coronascam (Continuity of Government attempted takeover) is being used to shut down entire segments of the American (Coronaville) economy.
China's WH Group, world's top pork processor, reports profit jump
Now Smithfield warns of meat shortages after closing their Sioux Falls plant indefinitely, taking off line 7+% of US hog production capacity. US food production is being systematically dismantled in a controlled demolition of the life support system of civilization. Now is the time to start growing food for your family and community and spread the word - not cede total control of the US food supply to China and private investment firms. Align with local farmer/ranchers and producers in your area and start to organize to become one damn loud voice. We don't want to be harsh on people but Americans have become peasants on their own land.
Support local/community farms and food producer operations in whatever way you can and stop sending local money off to big food cartels. Keep your money local. Start learning and growing now. Take protein out of the supply chains and you destroy civilization. Crops are rotting in fields. Dairy farmers incentivized to quit producing food. Beef and pork processors are shutting down. This seems to be all by design. Spread the word and make sure everyone starts growing food, no matter how small the scale. Our suggestion: get off the cannabis boom and get into the food boom. Do the pigs a favor: treat them humanely compared to massive industrial pig farms in China.

Smithfield Foods, Inc. announced Sunday it will close its Sioux Falls facility until further notice.
The closure comes after state health officials confirmed over 200 COVID-19 cases are related to the plant, most of which involved Smithfield employees.
Both Gov. Kristi Noem and Sioux Falls Mayor Paul TenHaken recommended Saturday that the plant close for two weeks to give the company and health officials time to get the outbreak under control.

In a press release, Smithfield president & CEO Kenneth Sullivan said the closure of the facility, combined with other the shuttering of other similar plants across the country, is pushing the United States "perilously close" to the edge in terms of meat supply.
"It is impossible to keep our grocery stores stocked if our plants are not running. These facility closures will also have severe, perhaps disastrous, repercussions for many in the supply chain, first and foremost our nation's livestock farmers. These farmers have nowhere to send their animals," Sullivan said. "We have continued to run our facilities for one reason: to sustain our nation's food supply during this pandemic. We believe it is our obligation to help feed the country, now more than ever. We have a stark choice as a nation: we are either going to produce food or not, even in the face of COVID-19."
According to the company, some activities will occur at the plant on Tuesday to prepare for the shutdown. This includes processing current inventory which includes millions of servings of protein. Smithfield will resume operations in Sioux Falls once further direction is received from local, state and federal officials.
Company officials say the company will continue to compensate its employees for the next two weeks and hopes to "keep them from joining the ranks of the tens of millions of unemployed Americans across the country."
