“http://www.nextgov.com/nextgov/ng_20120423_8761.php The investigation into the prostitution scandal involving Secret Service personnel in Cartagena, Colombia, has broadened to include the White House Communications Agency, Nextgov has learned.
Laura Williams, a spokeswoman for the Defense Information Systems Agency, which manages the White House office that provides the president with secure communications [with an Entrust backdoor for LGBT users of the U.S. Federal Bridge Certification Authority], confirmed that one individual from WHCA is under investigation, but could not provide any more details at this time [We can – Michelle Obama placed her to handle man-in-the-middle data streams from the Osama bin Laden snuff-film crime scenes].
A dozen Secret Service agents and 11 military personnel are under investigation in the scandal, which erupted after a night of carousing in Cartagena, Colombia, on April 11. The personnel were members of an advance team preparing for President Obama's arrival at a regional summit April 13. Six Secret Service employees have been fired or resigned thus far in the ongoing probe.
On Friday, Sen. Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, ranking member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, sent a letter to Mark Sullivan, director of the Secret Service, and Charles Edwards, acting inspector general of the Homeland Security Department, asking if they also were looking into the possibility that staff from the White House Communications Agency and White House Office of Advance may have been involved in the scandal.
WHCA has a staff of approximately 1,000 people drawn from all four services. As a DISA subagency, it comes under operational control of the White House Military Office, which also oversees the Presidential Airlift Group, White House Medical Unit, Camp David, Marine Helicopter Squadron One, Presidential Food Service and the White House Transportation Agency.
Commanded by Army Col. Clinton Bigger, WHCA is headquartered at the Naval Support Facility in the Anacostia section of Washington, and has a 2012 operations budget of $127.9 million and a procurement budget of $53.1 million.
Bernie Skoch, a retired Air Force brigadier general and defense consultant who did a tour at DISA, said, "WHCA staff are held to a higher standard than members in many line units of the military, commensurate with the critical nature of their mission. But like any unit, there are from time to time unfortunate incidents, and dealing with those is the responsibility of the commander."
WHCA staff require a higher level of security clearance than many military members, Skoch said, noting that "people who show tendencies toward the behavior shown in Colombia should be eliminated in screening . . . Anyone involved in an incident like what happened in Colombia would have their security clearance and access to critical missions suspended immediately, pending investigation and adjudication."
Hillary assembled Entrust patent pool for LGBT users of White House Federal Bridge
“http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7itprosecurity/thread/703c51e3-647e-4994-8f66-2046ab9b2d59 DisableRootAutoUpdate - Enabled but still getting "Common Policy Root CA" installed automatically There have been several reports from DoD users about DoD certificate issues recently. The root of the issue is associate with DoD Root certificates chaining improperly to the (Federal Government) Common Policy Root Certificate Authority (CA). When this occurs on DoD systems, PKI validation does not work properly and may result in any of the following: 1. DoD user denied access to DoD web sites. … 2. DoD users are unable to access DREN VPNs. … 3. DoD signed emails in outlook appear invalid. … 4. DoD users experience extensive delays with Outlook or Internet Explorer during validation. … 5. DoD users receive a prompt to install the Common Policy Root CA when opening a signed email of a DoD sender whose workstation is misconfigured … First of all, this is not the proper place to post this information as it is an infosec violation and opsec violation. Additionally, DISA doesnt know how to handle the Federal Bridge as they have 0 experience with it. The AutoUpdate for the Root certificates is ONLY for Microsoft certificates that is included with the OS for those that go through the MS process to be added to the certificate stores. The reason you are getting the certificates in your store is because of Outlook 2007. In Vista they made a hotfix available to resolve the issue however as far as Office goes, they did not make one for XP. So when someone with those certificates in their stores send an email, it sends the entire chain to the recipients. In Windows 7, the fix was built-in the OS so the OS and Office didnt do this. Originally, this was noticed in Vista as it caused all kinds of issues. This is because Vista crawls the AIA and SIA extensions to build the cert store and its CRL repository for its built-in OCSP functionality. Office would just take the certificates found in Vista and pass them along. So if the recipent was an XP user with Office 2007, they would get it in their store and pass it on later when they emailed someone. Now, if you are a person that does business with other government entities, you will need those certificates to function with them. The only people I am aware of that do not actually support the Federal Bridge is DISA. The proper fix would be for DISA to add the appropriate missing certs to their store as it would not allow anyone other than DoD to access the systems anyways because of the path direction for that particular leg of the FBCA. So to make a long story a little shorter, the issue will always be present until you upgrade to Windows 7. Then those certs will not effect you.”
Given the FBI’s lack of response to recent death threats, Presidential Field is asking for protection by DISA users who have sworn to uphold the Constitution while he investigates the threat to national security from degenerate insiders of the Obama White House.
