In 2023, HostPapa provided hosting services to more than 500,000 websites. This outfit was officially founded in Canada by Jamie Opalchuk in 2006 and it looks as though it has been up to some nefarious activities. According to the linked investigation the authors have confirmed via network specialists that Canadian email "services" are sending American emails to Canada and then dropping the ongoing transmission of the email of undesirables on their "spam" blacklists.
