H.R.2459 - To establish a Department of Peace.

Editor's note: The Pentagon went from the Department of War changing its name to the Department of Defense (offense) in about 1947. The reason why the U.S. economy is performing better than other economies is partly due to its heavily subsidized arms industry, which is one sector that is prosperous and in constant growth. It comprises more than 200,000 companies, the most prominent being Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, RTX Corp. (Raytheon), General Dynamics and Boeing (Boeing is in trouble). Israel's smashing through Gaza has given a big boost to these US weapon contractors. One solution would be to change the Department of Defense to the "Department of Peace." The Pentagon's mission since its inception is to war on the world and that is precisely what we have witnessed over the past 70 years. What we have witnessed in this proxy war against Russia is that US weapon manufacturers produce weapons to sell. The Russians are manufacturing weapons to wage war.
