Report: Newsom's High Speed Train to Nowhere is Not Arriving Anytime Soon

Extra Welfare for Britain's Polygamist Migrants

You really cannot make this stuff up. Britain does not permit people domiciled in the UK to enter into polygamous marriages, yet buried inside the government's welfare tables is an allowance for an “additional spouse” in certain polygamous marriages legally contracted overseas. For 2026–27, that additional amount under the relevant Pension Credit rules rose from £119.50 to £125.25 per week. That works out to £6,513 annually for each qualifying additional spouse living in the household.

This is precisely the sort of contradiction that destroys confidence in government. Parliament tells British citizens that one legal standard applies inside Britain, but when government encounters a marriage legally created under the laws of another country, certain parts of the welfare system can recognize additional spouses for benefit calculations. The House of Commons Library has confirmed that polygamous marriages considered valid under UK private international law can, in limited circumstances, involve means-tested benefits covering more than one spouse.

The facility is operated by KNDS Ammo Italy, a subsidiary of the French-German defense firm KNDS. It's the former Simmel Difesa plant. The ammunition plant produced 155mm artillery shells for Ukraine. It looks as though Ukraine's military is going to come up drastically short on 155mm artillery rounds. This plant in Italy is removed from the supply chain and the ammunition plant in Texas that turned out not to be producing anything in a $553 million scam production facility. Since 2022, suspected sabotage or explosions have struck ammunition facilities tied to Ukraine's arms supply chain across Europe: Transnistria's Cobasna depot (April–June 2022), Czechia's Poličské Strojírny plant, Bulgaria's EMCO depot near Belitsa (2024 and August 10, 2026), and Italy's KNDS plant in Colleferro (August 13, 2026), with Czech authorities formally attributing earlier 2014 Vrbětice blasts to Russia's GRU.

The conclusion follows: sanctions mainly drive innovation in evasion, not the outcomes they were designed to achieve. Unless sanctions were cleverly designed specifically to allow for Russia to develop its fully domestic Il-114-300 turboprop airliner, you have to consider the view that sanctions are not working. These are not isolated lapses; reports indicate at least 17 Georgia officers have been implicated in Flock misuse in just the past couple of months, part of a nationwide pattern in which officers have used this surveillance technology to stalk romantic partners, exes, and other private citizens. That officers sworn to uphold the law would so casually weaponize a mass surveillance system for personal vendettas and stalking is a profound betrayal of public trust, and it exposes the reckless lack of oversight built into these Flock surveillance camera networks from the start.

A ProPublica investigation revealed that the U.S. Army paid (the U.S. Army didn't pay General Dynamics anything, the American people did) General Dynamics roughly $533 million in taxpayer funds to open and operate a new artillery shell factory near Dallas, Texas, intended to boost production for needs including Ukraine, yet the plant never delivered a single usable shell. Despite repeated deadlines, malfunctioning equipment, production-line shutdowns ordered by the Army, and involvement of a lightly vetted Turkish subcontractor in a rushed process, the facility produced only defective output according to a Defense Department (creates chaos all over the world to sell weapons) inspector general report, leaving American taxpayers with a costly failure and little accountability so far. Have a listen to this corporate sales bullshit, and as you listen understand that the US manufactures weapons to sell while the Russians manufacture weapons to wage war and there is a vast difference. The top three major shareholders of General Dynamics are Longview Asset Management (about 10%), BlackRock (about 6.9%), and Vanguard (roughly 6–9% across its funds).

E-commerce giant eBay has settled a lawsuit and agreed to shell out $56 million to a couple that its staff targeted with live cockroaches, a fetal pig, death threats, as well as in-person surveillance.

The shop and selling platform and several of its top executives have agreed to pay $56 million in compensation to David and Ina Steiner, an elderly couple in Massachusetts that were targeted by staff at the company in 2019 with anonymous deliveries that included a fetal pig, live cockroaches, live spiders, a bloody pig Halloween mask, a funeral wreath, and a book about surviving the death of a spouse.

For organizations that have long defined themselves through Iran and armed resistance, voluntarily disarming would represent a historic shift with significant implications for regional security and the prospects for a lasting political settlement. Independent verification of any disarmament and the long term durability of such agreements will ultimately determine their significance. On Sunday evening (July 19), a group of some of the most repulsive, ghoulish people on the face of the earth marched towards the perimeter fence separating the Gaza Strip from the rest of the world to declare their intention to re-colonize Gaza, to re-establish three Israeli settlements that were dismantled in 2005 when, under Ariel Sharon, 21 settlements in total were abandoned, occupied, at the time, by 8,000 Israeli settlers.
