Merav Michaeli is the granddaughter of Rudolf Israel Kastner (Rezső Kasztner). Kastner was apparently "a Nazi SS officer who sent Hungarian Jews to Auschwitz in exchange for allowing his Zionist friends and family escape." Merav Michaeli is the Minister of Transport and Road Safety in the current Israeli government. How apropos: trains and minister of transport. In the hyperlinked video below, Michaeli explains that "the core family as we know it is the least safe place for children." In some respects depending on family dynamics of the mother and father, she is probably correct, but what is the overall motive here?
