A word on mingling

Editor's note: Chuck isn't our king so who cares? Apparently, before a planned trip to Paris the king was asked in graffiti "if he knew what the guillotine was?" Yikes! Imagine those big ears flopping in the breeze on the way to the basket just below the blade? Joking aside, the article has it wrong. It states, "The King's's habit of mingling with ordinary people could be very dangerous." No, that is incorrect. Ordinary people no longer want to mingle with Chuck. For a guy who doesn't really do much except tell ordinary people they are pissants and should be culled with a smile on his face, the guy has some serious money at his disposal. What a great king hey? He just loves to mingled with the people, however, we have a better idea. Chuck should mingle more with his third rate British military.

Royal Tour Axed After Fears for Safety of King

Daily Express|March 25, 2023

The King's habit of mingling with: ordinary people could have been very dangerous - Richar Palmer and Peter Allen
THE King's first state visit was called off amid fears for his safety as violent protests continued to grip France yesterday.

Security sources said that risks to Charles and Camilla helped convince President Emmanuel Macron to postpone after demonstrators issued death threats to them.

Hate messages circulated on social media along with calls for the pensions protesters to target and "spoil" the royal events. In a humiliating climbdown, the beleaguered French leader asked for the prestige visit to be pulled after trade union leaders called a further day of action on Tuesday.

His ministers had claimed that the safety of Charles, 74, and Camilla, 75, could be guaranteed but the president admitted that there was still a chance of trouble.

Graffiti that appeared in riot-torn Paris had made the threat "Charles III do you know the guillotine?"

While the words "Death to the King" were painted in red on the capital's Place de la Concorde where King Louis XVI and wife Marie Antoinette were beheaded by revolutionaries in 1793.

Charles had been "looking forward" to the visit but he was last night said to be sanguine about the dramatic change of plan.
