The Israel-Europe Gas Pipeline Agreed on in The Energy Ministers' Summit Hosted by
Minister Steinitz at the Energy Ministers Summit Held in Israel:
"The Israel-Europe Gas Pipeline Will Allow Israeli Gas to Reach Every Home in Europe. There Has Never Been Such an Ambitious Infrastructure Project in Israel"
Within 8 years and by the means of a 20B ILS investment, the longest underwater gas pipeline in the world will be laid, as agreed in the energy ministers' summit hosted by Minister Steinitz.
At the summit, the energy ministers of Israel, Cyprus, Greece, Italy and the EU energy commissioner signed a joint declaration to promote the world's longest underwater gas pipeline, between Israel and Europe.
The Italian Minister of Economic Development, Carlo Calenda; the Greek Minister of Energy, Giorgos Stathakis; the Cypriot Minister of Energy, Yiorgos Lakkotrypis; and the EU Climate and Energy commissioner, Miguel Arias Cañete attended the summit.
The planned 2,000-km pipeline will cost approximately 20B ILS and expected to be completed by 2025. It will constitute an additional gas export option from Israel to Europe.
During the summit, the ministers of energy signed a joint declaration by which their respective countries are committed to promote the project, and a workgroup will be established to promote and attain an interstate agreement on this matter.
Also, the ministers announced that they adopt the joint professional document, prepared by the general directors of the ministries of energy, establishing the project has engineering and financial feasibility and strategic value.
The Minister of Energy, Dr. Yuval Steinitz: "today we can say that Israel is on the map also in the field of energy. The formal summit held this morning and our mutual agreement to launch the Mediterranean gas pipeline project means that Israel is conceived, not only in the Middle East but also in Europe, as a major player in the international energy market. It has financial consequences and certainly political ones."

________As per the US Geological Survey (USGS) estimates, the entire Leviathan Basin holds a mean approximation of 1.7 billion barrels of recoverable oil and a mean of 122 trillion cubic feet of recoverable natural gas. The Leviathan gas field's natural gas reserves are estimated to be 18 trillion cubic feet (tcf). Does anyone realize what that amount of natural gas means to Israel?
Why exactly is the Russian-Israel alliance cracking up? If we are to follow some fairly accurate nomenclature on Jewish power in the US, namely Jewish Neocons that have a predominantly Jewish outlook towards Russia, what are we to make of this irrational pathological hatred towards Russia? Many in the Likud Party of Israel are Russian-Jews and they have an axe to grind against Russia. Many, not all, Jews are still settling accounts with Russia for pogroms (what caused the pogroms in the first place?) and the Pale of Settlement. It is generational among some Jewish circles. Many Jews hate the Russian Orthodox Church. In fact, the number of Russian-Jews who have axes to grind against Russia is astonishing. It is also related to the US-based Jewish Neocon networks that created the conditions in Ukraine for Russia to militarily respond with its "special operation" in Ukraine on 24 February 2022. What the war in Ukraine allowed for Israel is a new relevance for Israel's position becoming energy independent and supplying natural gas to Europe via the Israel-Europe pipeline. The war in Ukraine benefits Israel.
With Israel's huge tech infrastructure including the critical aspect of technology being microprocessor manufacturing it cannot afford in the least to be energy deficient. That means electricity/energy production is of paramount concern to Israel. The continued antagonism between Israel (the "startup nation") and its neighbors especially Lebanon, the Palestinians in Gaza and Syria is not about Islamic Jihad and terrorism against Israel, it probably has more to do with Israel sabotaging the region's energy needs.
