The FBI is investigating after 20-year-old son of U.S. District Judge Judge Esther Salas was fatally shot on Sunday when a gunman dressed in a FedEx uniform opened fire on her home in New Jersey and also injured her husband.

• Daniel Anderl, 20, is believed to have opened the door with his father, Mark Anderl, standing behind him as the gunman opened fire before fleeing at around 5 p.m., according to the FBI which is investigating the shooting.CRUCIAL QUOTE
• Salas is currently presiding over a lawsuit against Deutsche Bank, that alleges the bank failed to monitor high-risk clients, including client and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
• A judiciary official speaking anonymously to AP, said Salas’ husband was recovering in hospital following surgery, while Salas was unharmed and in the basement when the shooting took place.
• The suspect is still at large, with officials saying they are looking for "one subject".
• The FBI tweeted late on Sunday: "The FBI is investigating a shooting that occurred at the home of Judge Ester Salas in North Brunswick Township, New Jersey earlier this evening, July 19. We're looking for one subject & ask that anyone who thinks they may have relevant information call us at 1-973-792-3001.
• It is not known whether the suspect was a FedEx employee, or posing in a uniform to access the home in North Brunswick, and FedEx say they are cooperating with the authorities, according to CNN.
• A motive is not yet known.
• Senior officials, including New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy, condemned the shooting in a statement to AP: "This tragedy is our latest reminder that gun violence remains a crisis in our country and that our work to make every community safer isn't done."
• Murphy also tweeted: "Judge Salas and her family are in our thoughts at this time as they cope with this senseless act."
