Our KSM agents have evidence that Crown Agents Sisters’ former Schlumberger director Jamie Gorelick and DLA Piper law firm partner Miriam Clegg, used a TRIPS backdoor into Oracle Documaker and Partner network to manipulate Lloyd’s of London bordereau and pay fraudulent insurance claim by Transocean, the owner of the Deepwater Horizon.“Bordereau . Furnished periodically by the reinsured, a detailed report of insurance premiums or losses affected by reinsurance. A premium bordereau contains a detailed list of policies (or bonds) reinsured under a reinsurance treaty during the reporting period, reflecting such information as the name and address of the primary insured, the amount and location of the risk, the effective and termination dates of the primary insurance, the amount reinsured and the reinsurance premium applicable thereto. A loss bordereau contains a detailed list of claims and claims expenses outstanding and paid by the reinsured during the reporting period, reflecting the amount of reinsurance indemnity applicable thereto. Bordereau reporting is primarily applicable to pro rata reinsurance arrangements and to a large extent has been supplanted by summary reporting.”

The Oracle Documaker reporting tool enables Continental’s users to utilize features such as unlimited data exporting; flexibility in data exporting to Excel, Access, and extensible markup language (XML) formats; and visual mapping of forms and fields to data columns for simple report creation. Continental’s personnel were able to easily extract data residing within the smart archive of Oracle Documaker to create the Lloyd’s bordereau and other reports.”

“UK Climate Network The UK Met Office runs a network of over 400 climatological sites. This includes a network of automatic sites as well as one of over 250 voluntary manual sites. The need for change Historically, observers at manual sites reported their observations via a paper form at the end of each month. In more recent years, a spreadsheet version of the form was also introduced - again completed at the end of the month. Paper forms are both time-consuming and costly to process, involving the need for an external keying contractor. Spreadsheets suffer from formatting issues and also require manual processing. These methods also result in delayed receipt of data into the climate database since observations are returned on a monthly basis and, in the case of paper forms, need to be sent for keying. They are also prone to transcription and/or keying errors which, additionally, leads to data quality issues. The solution: Observers’ Weather Log A web-based method for observers to record their daily readings was developed: the Observers’ Weather Log – or OWL. Observers access the service via the UK Met Office external website and can enter observations daily, or however often is suitable. The OWL software runs on an OC4J application server which transfers the observational data to the Oracle 10g climate database.”
