American Manufactured Microprocessors Used in Russian Tanks?

Editor's note: This is almost comical. The Pentagon itself has no idea where half the microprocessors are sourced from used in most of its procured military equipment. As an example, parts (including circuit boards) were sourced from China used on Lockheed Martin's F-35. Lockheed Martin needs a new strategy alright, and it's not to "counter Russia and China" but to develop further increasing profits. NATO comes through the Atlantic Council and there is nothing the United States of Lockheed Martin couldn't be more enthusiastic about than continued war in Ukraine. The other consideration is did the microprocessors used in Russian tanks come from Israel? If they did the FBI's (commercial militia) investigation will end right there. It is known Israel has back doored microprocessors especially Intel. And what exactly are "American chips?" It is likely the microprocessors used in Russian equipment were also sourced from Taiwan

FBI investigates US-made chips in Russian tanks – media

Agents have been paying visits to American tech firms and asking questions, sources told the Washington Post

The FBI and US Department of Commerce have launched a probe into claims of American-made computer chips being found in Russian military hardware in Ukraine, the Washington Post reported on Wednesday.

Government agents have been visiting companies and asking about how their chips and other components ended up in Russian radars, drones, tanks, ground-control and other weapon systems, "people familiar with the matter" told the paper.

"Our goal is to actually try to track that back, all the way back to the US supplier" and figure out "how did it find its way into that weapons system," one Commerce Department official said.

"Just because a chip, a company's chip, is found in a weapon system doesn't mean we've opened up an investigation on that company. What we've done, though, is we've opened up an investigation on how that company’s chip got into that system," the unnamed official explained.

Following the launch of Moscow's military operation in Ukraine, the US and many of its allies banned the sale of computer chips to Russian defense firms and placed restrictions on deliveries to other buyers from the country.

Comments on the microprocessors found in Russian military equipment in Ukraine:
"Russia is concerned about orders from the FBI to find out how American chips made it into all the weapons systems Ukraine has captured. It seems all of it was on the up and up with nothing foul involved (Russia was not banned from buying the chips) but the Pentagon wants to shut all the supply chains down. OR SO THEY SAY, because American chips with their back doors are EXACTLY what the Pentagon wants in Russian weapons. I am not fooled."
