It is looking like the UK actively impeded...

Editor's note: ...American operations against Venezuela and Iran by withholding intelligence, denying basing access, and that Lloyd's of London, for the first time in its centuries-long history, refused or made prohibitively expensive the insurance of ships supporting those efforts. This is part of a deeper conflict in which President Trump's sovereigntist approach is at odds with the UK, the EU, and financial interests centered in the City of London. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard and regime funds have long been parked in British Commonwealth tax havens (like Bermuda, Switzerland, BVI, Isle of Mann, Cayman Islands and the Turks and Caicos Islands) and London real estate, and that this marks a rare instance in which America's traditional "special relationship" with Britain has not sided with the America. Even former Iranian President Hassan Rouhani was educated at Glasgow Caledonian University in Scotland, where he earned an MPhil and a PhD in the 1990s. If President Trump "cut Britain and France out of NATO" what does this suggest about the UK's Jacob Rees-Mogg who supports NATO? In a recent interview with Tucker Carlson, Jacob Rees-Mogg said he "supports NATO as a voluntary supra-national body while opposing institutions like the EU" and the ICC that he "believes impose unwanted restraints on nation-state sovereignty."
