After the European Commission fined X €120 million...

Editor's note: ...under the Digital Services Act (see The EU's Censorship Law From Hell), the good cop of the technocratic oligarchy Elon Musk erupted — calling the EU bloc a "bureaucratic monster," demanding it be abolished, and urging a return to national sovereignty. The penalty — against what the Commission called "deceptive" check-marks, opaque advertising and blocked data access — is portrayed by Musk and supporters as a sign that Europe is no longer a union of free nations but a centralized bureaucratic "Fourth Reich" regime crushing free expression and national identity. This EU stunt crystallizes the argument that under EU-wide control, Europe isn't evolving — it's disappearing. As the US has recently outlined its foreign policy, President Trump's foreign policy team has now "recast Europe as a strategic liability." Hungary's Viktor Orbán rightly criticized the EU for "clinging to its moral high ground" narrative even as it "drowns in corruption," alleging that Brussels and Kyiv are covering for each other as scandal after scandal surfaces. And what did Don Trump Jr say about Ukraine? He called Ukraine a "crime scene."

'Fourth Reich': Musk Hits Back at EU After X Fine

After the anti-free speech European Union hit X with a massive fine, the platform's owner Elon Musk remains defiant.

The EU claims that X should not allow just anyone to pay for the blue check verification on the platform, arguing that it undermines the purpose of verification since it is no longer reserved for a select few. In response, Musk hinted that the EU is assuming Nazi characteristics and slammed EU bureaucrats for not representing their own citizens’ best interests:


Musk also re-shared a post about Irish teacher Enoch Burke, who was jailed for refusing to use transgender pronouns, and later replied to another user, "So many politicians in Europe who are traitors to their own people." And Musk highlighted the fact that Meta has a verification program similar to X's, yet the EU hasn't onerously fined the more censorship-prone Meta.
