Pennsylvania Gov. Vetoes GOP-Backed Election Integrity Bill
Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Wolf vetoed a Republican-backed election overhaul bill that would expand voter identification requirements, move up the voter registration deadline, limit the use of drop-boxes, and allow county officials to conduct early pre-canvassing for mail-in ballots, among other measures.
In explaining why he vetoed the bill, the Democrat governor wrote that he "made it clear I wouldn't sign a bill that creates barriers to voting," adding "that's exactly what this bill does by: Limiting mail ballots, Capping early voting, Cutting voter registration time.”
On Wednesday, Wolf also used his line-item veto authority to remove a budget legislation proposal that would earmark millions of dollars to create an election-auditing agency.
Wolf separately wrote in his veto letter that he wants to work on legislation that can be passed on a bipartisan basis later this year
The election measure, known as the Voting Rights Protection Act, passed in the GOP-held state Senate by a vote of 29 to 21, falling short of the two-thirds majority to override Wolf's veto.
Pennsylvania state Rep. Seth Grove, a Republican who chairs the House State Government Committee, on Wednesday accused Wolf of failing voters and asserted that provisions within the bill are supported by most Pennsylvanians.
"To say I am disappointed in Wolf's lack of action is an understatement," Grove said in a statement to media outlets. "Though Wolf has put on blinders to problems within our election process, it doesn’t mean the problems do not exist."
Conservative policy group Heritage Action sharply criticized the governor's veto.
"Voter ID requirements are a common-sense first step to protecting our elections. They are supported by 74 percent of Pennsylvania voters," the group's director, Jessica Anderson, said Wednesday.
The bill is also one of several efforts by Republican-controlled legislatures to shore up what they say are lax laws and enforcement around elections. They’ve also argued that such bills are needed to restore public trust in elections.

This is what Bolsheviks do best: obsession with bureaucratic laws and policies until every last segment of your life is under complete control. Bolsheviks are obsessed with voting, because they know that when there is voter fraud and it is covered up sufficiently enough, they can achieve their unearned power saying that "legitimate and transparent voting" took place. If they get their way you won't even be able to take a shit without the Pennsylvania Politburo knowing what you ate 12 hours prior and how long and what consistency your stool was. Everyone living in the state of Pennsylvania should go to the hospital and obtain one of those urine or stool specimen containers you are given, take a dump in it then send it to Governor Wolf's office for inspection. Once Bolsheviks come to power it is nearly impossible to get them to relinquish that power.
CAP is a Soros-funded organization and the founder as mentioned above is John Podesta. The present chairwoman for the Center for American Progress is the Bolshevik Stacey Abrams. One thing about Bolsheviks that should be apparent by now for anyone following this blog is, Bolsheviks never discuss monetary reform in their attempts to achieve "social justice" with their Bolshevik sloganeering like "people over profits." These blue state Nomenklatura were not taking their directions on Covid from the CDC, the FDA, the NIH or any other federal government subcontracted out corporation, but from CAP.
CAP is the organization instructing these blue state Nomenklatura to lock everyone down, close businesses, force mask wearing, pushing for mandatory Covid injections and distance learning for children, social impact bonds (Pennsylvania is a leader in social impact bonds out of Wharton) and sending everyone home. All these blue states banned hydroxychloroquine and ivermection. It was disgusting what they did in these blue "demon" states. CAP is also involved in the education of children in Pennsylvania schools to get them digitally linked up to extract their data for monitoring the progress on investments in these social impact bonds.
