The Golems of Woke....

There seems to be a new breed of person - actually let us be accurate - inhuman - driving much of the current mad agenda. Maybe they have always been there and just now come to the fore. They pop up spouting all kinds of upside down nonsense and are suddenly part of the landscape. Who are these poeple? Where do they come from?
The first time I saw this occur was with the school truant come climate 'warrior'- Greta Thunberg. To me, she suddenly appeared on the scene as a spokesperson. Still a child, she had no expertise in climate change - no experience, nothing to offer but truancy, a glare, and an attitude. Suddenly, she was everywhere and she remains there - now extremely wealthy by all accounts - despite her lack of any kind of education. She also remains totally uneducated about climate. But, hey who cares. She just got an honorary doctorate….. to go with the fortune. Who created this character? How did they create her?
Everywhere I look now, I see people like this coming to the fore emerging from total obscurity. Lacking any credibility or gravitas and yet suddenly, they are everywhere spreading utter bollox to a charmed and hypnotized audience of NPCs. They are like the Golems of Woke. Created as husks of nothingness and held together with vicious and rancid mannerisms to promote concepts and ideas that just a few years ago, would have been well suited to a Monty Python movie… oh wait - that did actually happen!
When you stand back and watch these Woke Golems at work, you can actually see the strings, or shall we say, the dark magic that lies behind them. But what puzzles me is why they resonate at all? Why would anyone in their right mind admire a petulant and spoiled child probably indoctrinated from birth by activist parents who not only refuses to go to school, but encourages your kids to follow? A Pied Piper of sorts … and maybe therein lies a hint…
It seems that the target of these Pied Pipers are your kids. The Golems of woke seem to appeal to the young minds of an uneducated, entitled and thin-skinned generation who have not yet figured out the importance of free speech, self-responsibility, and self-reliance. No longer educated but certainly indoctrinated, they are taught chaotic values, encouraged to break down established norms, spurn history, and turn against the very glue that holds a decent society together.
Sometimes I think - well, hasn't it always been this way?
I can still see my parent's shock, distaste and even horror at my teenaged obsession with Marc Bolan and David Bowie. Their long hair, make up, unisex clothes and so on clearly a challenge to the values of their generation. Yet, I don't recall these icons as Golems at all. Their challenge to society was as much for the shock value, art, and attention, as it was to undermine the pillars of a decent society. Or was it? Did the rot start back then?
One thing I am pretty sure of is that these characters never pushed upside down and back to front ideas, they did not attack our basic rights and freedoms - rather they pushed the boundaries further out making freedom a bigger place. They never criticised or drove hatred at anyone who disagreed with them - it was live and let live.
Nope, as Thomas Sheridan wrote yesterday, something evil is in the world directing such Golems of woke…. and when the dark magic behind them is broken, these Golems will shatter into the shards of clay they always were. The lesson behind the Golem story is be careful what you create…. and that holds just as true for these Golems of woke.
