Space Exploration Technologies Corp. is competing with 15 companies, including Viasat Inc., for $900 million in work orders through 2028 under the Space Force's new "Proliferated Low Earth Orbit" contracts program, which is tapping into communications services of satellites orbiting from 100 miles to 1,000 miles (160 kilometers to 1,600 kilometers) above Earth.

US Considering New Space Force Unit in Japan
Sure thing. The US Space Force is now "punching holes" in the ionosphere. The Apollo space missions during the late 1960s and early 1970s didn't punch holes in the ionosphere on the way to the moon?
Oops! US Space Force may have accidentally punched a hole in the upper atmosphere
How is this supposed to work out when Dalton (is Dalton "woke?") earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in foreign affairs from the University of Virginia and a Master of Arts in international relations from the Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University? You would think they would want a position like this filled with at least an engineer, a physicist, maybe an astrophysicist or studies (hard sciences) in mathematics related to navigational computation? Is she going to be greeting aliens with her studies in international relations?
#ICYMI - Melissa Dalton was nominated as new Under Secretary of the Air Force last week. Once confirmed, Dalton will become the 28th person to serve in this role which supports the Secretary of the Air Force to manage both Air and Space Forces.https://t.co/KYibxko2iK
