People are willing to kill for money but nobody wants to die for money, except an idiot

Last Friday, Dmitry Orlov released his open letter "The Goldilocks War," wherein he observes about the Ukraine conflict: "The goal is to rearrange Russian society, economy and financial system so as to prepare it for a de-Westernized future"—documents how socialist Western colonial sanctions are actually destroying their own airline production and other industries, while Russia(s keep expanding—sees him stating: "Putin likes to use the expression "tsap-tsarap" to describe this process...It is hard to translate directly but pertains to the act of a cat snatching its prey with its claws", then he notes: "What Russia is doing at this point is destroying NATO...Julius Caesar pointed out, lots of people are willing to kill for money but nobody wants to die for money—except an idiot"—and sees him most factually observing about the present conflict:

Let's see how the Russians played their opponent, shall we?

The Russians spent some time rolling around Kiev to draw Ukrainian troops away from the Donbass and prevent a Ukrainian attack on it; once that was done, they withdrew.

Great Ukrainian victory in the western press!

They also spent some time tooling around the Black Sea coastline near Odessa, threatening a sea invasion, to draw off Ukrainian forces in that direction, but never invaded.

Another Ukrainian victory in the western press!

The Russians occupied a large chunk of Kharkov region that the Ukrainians left largely undefended, then, when the Ukrainians finally paid attention to it, partially withdrew behind a river to conserve resources.

Yet another Ukrainian victory in the western press!

The Russians occupied/liberated the regional capital of Kherson, evacuated all the people who wanted to be evacuated, then withdrew to a defensible position behind a river.

Victory again in the western press!

With all these Ukrainian victories, it is truly a wonder that the Russians have managed to:
Gain around 100 kilometers of the former Ukraine's most valuable real estate,

Over 6 million in population,

Secured a land route to Crimea

Opened up a vital canal that supplies irrigation water to it and which the Ukrainians had blocked some years ago.
That doesn't seem like a defeat at all; that looks like an excellent result from a single, limited summer campaign."

Given what Russia has already achieved over the past nine months:
four new Russian regions,

six million new Russian citizens,

a land bridge to Crimea,

irrigation water supply to Crimea—
There isn't much left for Russia to achieve militarily before its military campaign reaches the stage of diminishing returns.

Russia has achieved several of its strategic objectives already; the rest can wait.

The addition of Nikolaev and Odessa regions and full control of the Black Sea coastline would, of course, be most valuable; control of Kharkov and Kiev somewhat less so.

Control of the entire Dnieper hydroelectric cascade is a definite nice-to-have. As for the rest, it could be left to languish for ages as a deindustrialized, depopulated wasteland, labeled "Mostly harmless".

The reality is this:
only two major battles between Russian and Ukrainian military forces have occurred—the first one in Mariupol, where Ukrainian forces were completely obliterated and today Russia is building a massive new military base—and the second one is presently occurring in Bakhmut, about which Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky yesterday called the fighting around Bakhmut the "most difficult area that protects not only the east, but our entire state"—and about which it saw former NATO Supreme Commander American General Wesley Clark observing: "Putin led Ukraine into a trap...Bakhmut has turned into a huge meat grinder for the Ukrainian Armed Forces...The opposing sides are trying to somehow concentrate their fighting power…Therefore, they focused on Bakhmut…Taking it will give the Russians access to Kramatorsk and Slavyansk...The city also serves as a sort of sack of fire for exterminating Ukrainian forces...This is what the Russians are after."

Completely in a Disney land world of make believe Biden Regime official US Secretary of State Antony Blinken proclaimed: "Negotiations now would lead to a phony peace...The United States will continue to arm Ukraine (and Poland) and bankroll its economy until it can take back territory that's been seized from it since February 24th" Which led to former top Pentagon advisor and combat tactical legend retired US Army Colonel Douglas Macgregor, Ph.D. observing: “Ukraine leaves Russia no choice but total annihilation"

The facts are chilling for the west while the administration trumpets its promises to defend the free world. But it isn’t near to provide sufficient means. Some hard facts:

Costs: The United States, goes a common talking point, spends more on defense than the next nine nations combined. That's true but misleading. It doesn't take into account significant American disadvantages in purchasing power and personnel costs. One example: A U.S. Marine Corps private can make about as much in salary and benefits as a Chinese general.

Trends: Military spending as a percentage of gross domestic product, at around 3 percent, is well below the plus-4 percent average of the past 50 years. It will continue to fall for the next decade, according to projections from the Peter G. Peterson Foundation, and more of the funding will be eaten up by inflation.

Scope: America's defense commitments stretch from the North Atlantic to the Persian Gulf to the Taiwan Strait. The military ambitions of Russia, China and Iran, by contrast, are regional and therefore easier to concentrate. China now has the largest navy in the world, at least in terms of ship numbers, with its prime objective the seizing of Taiwan.

Readiness: The Air Force is short by about 1,650 pilots. The Army is short by roughly 30,000 recruits. More than half of America's bombers were built during the Kennedy administration. The Navy has spent years trying to reach a target of 313 ships (it was close to 600 at the end of the Reagan administration) but still can't break 300.

Competence: The Pentagon is broken. It has never passed an audit. Acquisition debacles — the Navy's Littoral Combat Ship (a.k.a. Little Crappy Ship); the Air Force's KC-46 tanker; the Army's Future Combat Systems, to name a few — account for billions of wasted dollars and decades of wasted time. The Navy is struggling to maintain its ships, owing to long neglect of public shipyards, and our defense-industrial base would struggle to supply the military with equipment in the event of a war, much less two.

The meat grinder is only the Ukrainians now, but if the US or NATO (US vassal) come to their rescue the grinder is ready for them too. Russia used to supply the ammunition ingredients for American and European ammunition companies...but not since sanctions...and the US, the EU nations and NATO are running out of ammo.

You reap what you sow dip shits....14,000 dead children, parents and elderly in the Donbas region by UKRONAZI commandos for the last 8 years...you asked for this.

I am looking forward to the complete surrender of this Khazarian empire of dirt.
