Medvedev said yesterday that because of the threats to the federation they are going full steam ahead with weapons that are designed with new physical principles.
When I was at Pratt & Whitney Space Propulsion as the Mojave regional manager for business development at AFRL (liquid propulsion projects), NAWC (solid propulsion projects) and JPL (in space electric propulsion projects), right at the end of their operations at San Jose, (after they blew up the 600 gallon propellant mixer and had lost the Air Force minute man contract because of it) I conducted an experiment at my lab at Keck on the Caltech campus that led me to believe the Russians had discovered how to perform molecular mixing, mixing rocket propellants in a vacuum chamber while vaporizing the components and letting the vapor condense on a liquid nitrogen cold wall inside the chamber. First law of thermodynamics - hot moves to cold. Pratt had a separate facility at their San Jose facility that was their skunk works called rat canyon were top secret chemistry research was conducted and was still in place. Their chemists like Herb Weyland were still there trying to figure out Alane, a Russian rocket component accelerant. I was at one of the last management meetings up at San Jose when I stood up and said, "You guys, can snatch victory from jaws of defeat if you let me organize a special project to replicate the Russian advanced chemistry. I've made Alane in my lab at Caltech"...
...and showed them.
Then I continued:
"But the Russians are not using regular Alane, its a red herring, so to speak, they're making nano propellants in a device I uncovered in the Adams reading library in the Library of Congress, the library where all the spy info is kept. Almaz corporation in Moscow has made a statement that they are pursuing new physical principles developed at the Karpov and Seminov institutes that make their R77 rockets travel twice as a far as our AARAM air-to-air missiles. We are well inside their kill zone and they are well outside ours. I know what they are doing. Six months, that's all I need to put you ahead of all the other propellant companies."
They said the land San Jose Pratt & Whitney sits on is worth more than that payoff.
That was in 2005.
I went to the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and presented to them and they gave me a SBIR (Small Business Investment in Research) grant of 150K to prove my findings. I did. I created molecular mixing under vacuum in a modified device using Alane I created along with RDX. I presented the results to ONR, ATK Thiokol and Aerojet. Everyone one was thrilled about the money being granted for air-to-air laser weapons that ultimately don't work. Dwell time on a target in a theatre of multiple targets, cooling the device between shots, and the cost of multiple 747 aircraft with a laser big enough to do the work...totally impractical.
Let's say the MIC is 20 years behind and a million years out of luck. It's why the US uses proxy wars to kill off other nations soldiers to achieve goals that are apparently no longer achievable. Like the current killing zone in the Ukraine. The Russian federation just has to sit back with their superior weapons, surveillance, drone, satellites, S550 rockets that can take out the American reconnaissance satellites at will and exhaust all the NATO and EU weapons and fighters...its a pathetic and grotesque thing America and the EU are doing to the under equipped, undertrained proxy soldiers of Ukraine...
But it's not as if I didn't warn them.
