There is a certain element of truth noting how cryptocurrencies were mostly developed by deviants and reprobates first used on the deep web. They were allowed to run their "wild west" cryptocurrencies to see what came out of this deep web digital criminal underworld (Bankman Fried Ran CIA Front To Shackle Crypto).
