Facebook appoints Israeli censor to oversight board
The French geopolitical analyst and his historian Thierry Meyssan released an essay the other day partially republished below on what he thinks is the "decolonization of Israel" readers are invited to take a look at. The "startup machine" Israel dominates the tech sector in many areas including agriculture, water technology, 5G, robotics, autonomous systems, drone technology, military hardware, pharmaceuticals, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence (A.I.) and biotechnology, so any analysis of Israel without including this fact would not be complete. There is a huge disparity in comprehending Israel being now called a "startup nation" as a global center of technology, and this idea as Israel being a homeland for Jews. What is industrial Zionism and Israel defending more? An ancient claim of being a "homeland for Jews," or being a forward fire base for the City of London to dominate technology including cybersecurity which we have dedicated a page to under Talpiot? This is why US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo made a visit to Israel just when China's Ambassador to Israel Du Wei was found dead in his Tel Aviv home: to drastically reduce technology and economic trade between Israel and China.

The Decolonization of Israel has Begun
For three quarters of a century, an Anglo-Saxon colony, now a US arsenal, has been trying to conquer all the lands from the Nile to the Euphrates (Egypt, Palestine, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria and part of Iraq). And for some years now, citizens of this same colony have been aspiring to transform it into a normal state. This conflict of another age has reached a stage with the appointment of a bicephalous government: two prime ministers representing the two political visions are going to paralyze each other. The only progress can only be made in social and health matters, further accelerating the modernisation of society and thus the end of the colonial fantasy.

As of now Israel is the only country in the world to be governed by two Prime Ministers; an untenable situation.
The appointment of the Israeli coalition government does not bring to an end the six-year-long battle between two opposing and irreconcilable visions of Israel [1], nor the government paralysis that has lasted for a year and a half. On the contrary, it marks the beginning of the agony of one of the two protagonists and the slow transformation of the country into a normal state.
It is not fortuitous that this debate broke out under the blows of the former Soviet Avigdor Liberman over the privileges of yeshiva students. The former defence minister, by asserting that religious alibi does not exempt anyone from national service, challenged the knot of the lie on which Israel was founded seventy-two years ago.
General Ehud Barack's call to end Benjamin Netanyahu through legal means has failed. The supporters of the colonial dream are still there. They have plunged their fellow citizens into a kind of fear by persuading them that they are threatened by foreigners. As in the time of the ghettos, in order to "protect" them, they have locked them up behind a Wall that even separates them from their Arab fellow citizens.
Let us recall that Israel is not the product of Jewish culture, but of the will of the English Puritans [2].
As early as the seventeenth century, Lord Protector Cromwell committed himself to create a Jewish State in Palestine, a theme that was not taken up again during the dynastic restoration. In the eighteenth century, the leaders of the US War of Independence, Cromwell's heir, also supported the creation of a Jewish state in Palestine, so that the United Kingdom and the United States were the natural godparents of this entity. In the 19th century, Queen Victoria's Prime Minister, Benjamin Disraeli, theorized Zionism as an instrument of British imperialism and included the "Restoration of Israel" on the agenda of the 1878 Berlin International Congress. At that time no Jews supported this far-fetched project.
A theorist of the British Empire, Cecil Rhodes was Prime Minister of the English colony of Cape Town (South Africa). He created the diamond company De Beers and gave his name to Rhodesia. The statutes of the Jewish Agency are just a copy and paste of those he wrote for the colonization of Southern Africa.
It was not until the Dreyfus affair in France that Theodor Hertzl committed himself to converting the Jewish diaspora to Anglo-US Zionism. He conceived a colonial system on the model of the one put into practice by Cecil Rhodes in Africa and gradually managed to rally many atheist Jewish intellectuals.
When the British and American governments were occupied by Puritans (David Lloyd George and Woodrow Wilson) during World War I, an agreement was reached between the two countries to create Israel. The principle of a "Jewish national home" was made public by a letter from Foreign Secretary Lord Balfour to Lord Rothschild, and President Wilson officially established the creation of Israel as one of the 14 American war aims. At the peace conference, Emir Faisal endorsed the Zionist project and pledged his support.
Jews began to colonize Mandate Palestine with the help of the local bourgeoisie, but at the expense of the common people, and then to emancipate themselves from London. In 1948, an atheist Jew, Ben Gurion, this time five years ahead of the Rhodesian model, proclaimed Israel's independence before the United Nations had defined its borders. Only then did the rabbis massively support the colonial project.
For seventy-two years, Palestine has endured a perpetual war. After several successive waves of immigration, the State of Israel has invented from scratch a "culture" around an imaginary people (including ethnic groups from the Caucasus to Ethiopia), an artificial language (modern Hebrew has little to do with the ancient patois and is written in Aramaic characters) and a fictitious history (despite UNESCO's objections, the ancient city-state of Jerusalem has been confused with the State of Israel). The assimilation of this intellectual creation to the Puritan colonial project was solidified around a sacralized interpretation of certain Nazi crimes, described as "holocaust" by the Puritans and "shoah" by the Jews.

Norman Finkelstein's new book indicts the International Criminal Court for whitewashing Israel
BY JAMES NORTH | MAY 28, 2020
PROSECUTOR FATOU BENSOUDA, PORTRAIT AT THE INTERNATIONAL CRIMINAL COURT
I ACCUSE!
Herewith a Proof Beyond Reasonable Doubt that ICC Chief Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda Whitewashed Israel
By Norman G. Finkelstein
198 pages, OR Books, $20, $10 E-book
This May 31 marks 10 years since Israeli commandos attacked the Gaza Humanitarian Flotilla in international waters and killed 10 people. Norman Finkelstein, one of the world’s most effective critics of Israel, is observing the occasion with a persuasive indictment of Fatou Bensouda, the chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) in The Hague, for refusing to take legal action over Israel's lethal attack on the Mavi Marmara, the Flotilla's flagship.
At first glance, Finkelstein's new book resembles a legal brief. But start reading more closely, and you soon see his trademark indignation, intense and eloquent. The Comoro Islands, where the Mavi Marmara was registered, brought the Gaza Flotilla case to the ICC in 2013, and Finkelstein points out that the chief prosecutor since then has tried to bury it 3 times. He is not diplomatic; he charges that she “defiled her office by refusing to investigate credible allegations of Israeli criminality."
Finkelstein, with his characteristic Talmudic scholarship, scrutinizes various human rights reports on Israel's killings on the ship, examining them alongside the Israel government's own alleged self-inquiry. He points out, chapter and verse, just how Fatou Bensouda accepted Israel's version of events (which Amnesty International described as a "whitewash") while dismissing contradictory reports from the U.N. Human Rights Council and the U.N. Secretary-General's Panel of Inquiry.
He argues that as a consequence Bensouda "grossly misrepresent[ed] the facts of the assault" itself. But even worse — she took Israel's armed commando attack as an isolated event, instead of connecting it to even larger Israeli crimes: "the illegal Israeli blockade and the humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza."
Let's start with the actual Israeli assault. Bensouda echoed Israel's alibi; it planned to stop the Flotilla peacefully, its commandos met with resistance when they boarded the Mavi Marmara, after which perhaps some excesses happened but the actions of a few Israeli soldiers didn't rise to the level of a case that the International Criminal Court should take up. Finkelstein crushes this version. If Israel truly expected to act nonviolently,
then why did they deploy an elite commando unit trained to kill, not the Israeli coast guard or a police-like unit accustomed to handling civil resisters? His indignation rises further when he considers Israel's allegations that some of the passengers on the ship planned "extremely violent" resistance. He asks why these allegedly violent resisters "didn't manage to kill any of the commandos," but Israeli soldiers who were supposedly "rehearsed in the moral imperative to execute the operation 'without any injuries' ended up killing 10 passengers by shooting each of them multiple times, five in the head and even at point-blank range."
