Virginia Sheriff Defends The Second Amendment

Ed.'s note: Remember our post on sheriffs we did awhile back on how what you know about county sheriffs could save your life? Well this is becoming more apparent as elected county sheriffs around the country begin to have their eyes opened as more and more state and federal statute laws are stacking up to prevent gun ownership. Amelia County Sheriff Ricky L. Walker says he will not enforce unconstitutional gun laws even if ordered to do so by a judge.

Sheriff Walker spoke to Amelia County residents last week on impending gun control laws as Democrats prepare to take over the Virginia legislature.

The Washington Post quoted Walker saying, "My oath of office is to uphold the Constitution of the United States," and further stating that he would he would not confiscate guns even under a judge's order if the law violated the constitution.
