The article portrays Emanuel's recent Tel Aviv speech, in which he called Israel a "pariah" and proposed U.S. sanctions on settler violence and ending unconditional aid, as a calculated political maneuver to rehabilitate the pro-Israel cause among Democrats amid plummeting support, rather than a sincere shift, given Emanuel's lifelong Zionist credentials, family Irgun ties, and history of strong Israel advocacy.

In a July 17, 2026, Mondoweiss investigation, Israeli real estate companies are aggressively marketing land in illegal West Bank settlements, often on confiscated Palestinian property, to Jewish American buyers through promotional events in the U.S., Canada, and UK. Ads promise idyllic lifestyles ("sip your coffee while watching the sunrise") in expanding settlements like Ma'ale Adumim, Givat Ze'ev, and Karnei Shomron, while Palestinian residents describe decades of land seizures, displacement of farming and Bedouin communities, and restricted access under Israeli military orders, as part of a broader strategy to entrench settlement growth and undermine Palestinian statehood prospects.

It is probable that Tucker Carlson's WASP-y CIA faction is utterly fed up with Judaic supremacist and especially Zionist constriction of previous US power structures: so what this represents is a factional fight between rival "elites":

According to an Axios report (July 17, 2026), the Trump administration is sending dozens of additional U.S. military refueling planes to Israel ahead of a possible major escalation in operations against Iran.
