In San Francisco, political power is theater...

Editor's note: ...for the benefit of entrenched business interests. Figures like Nancy Pelosi and Gavin Newsom are less about ideology or public service than about maintaining a predictable environment where corporations can profit regardless of who holds office. Kind of makes you wonder doesn't it? Has anyone ever confronted Gavin Newsom and just flat out told him, "Shut the f*ck up will you?" This cozy alignment of political elites and business creates a system where policy serves the few, not the many—undermining democracy (a religion for the masses), distorting markets, and putting the American public (will always lose out to private interests) at a disadvantage while profits flow uninterrupted to the city's insiders. Pelosi's daughter choosing not to run to succeed her mother in the US congress is a welcome development. Political dynasties like this concentrate power within a single family, erode democratic choice, and prioritizes legacy over public interest. In a functioning system, such automatic succession should be discouraged—if not outright illegal—because it does nothing to benefit America and everything to entrench elite privilege (a real savvy options trader).

Christine Pelosi announces she won't run for mom Nancy’s House seat

By Ryan King | November 10, 2025

Christine Pelosi won't run to succeed her mother Nancy in Congress, ending the Pelosi dynasty in the House of Representatives.

The younger Pelosi, 59, announced on Monday that she'd run for California state Senate instead, opening the field for a competitive Democratic primary to rep Nancy Pelosi's San Francisco district in 2026.

"In courtrooms, campaigns and corridors of power, I've fought to build power for the people. And that's why I'm running for California Senate," Christine Pelosi said in her Monday announcement.

America's primary role is profit. It doesn't matter who is involved, under what circumstances, their status, or who they are, profit has primacy over all other concerns. These politicians are cutouts, actors and actresses meant to keep you occupied. They don't hold real power. When they pull off these outrageous stunts while holding political office think seriously about what is going on. Would you compromise your own ethics if it meant you could add an additional $3.7 million to your investment portfolio if you had access to insider information that allowed you to move fast before the market reacted on an option trade?
