Wonk Tank Weapons Salesman

Editor's note: Apparently, work at a wonk tank pays well. The anti-China Epoch Times ran an article with this "expert" telling us the green laser lights over Hawaii "signals a coming war with China." Rick Fisher is the senior weapons salesman (fellow) at the International Assessment and Strategy Center (IASC) located in Arlington, Virginia. The same place where "defense" contractors, DoD-related firms, the CIA and all sorts of high end lobbyists hang out. Right now, this conglomeration of agencies and corporations are all gearing up for a war with China. These wonk tanks - there are so damn many you can't even keep track of them anymore - are all funded by "defense" contractors. Rick the weapon salesman here, is trying to convince us the Raytheon-Lockheed Martin Javelin anti-tank missile has "turned the tide of battle against Russia in Ukraine." The Javelin missile worked fine on cars and trucks in Afghanistan but on Russian tanks that's a different story. Fisher the wonk tank weapons salesman has his steak dinners paid for in Washington by war contractors. The Japanese do nothing without permission from their US masters:

China's Green Lasers Over Hawaii Signal a Coming War: Expert

What's the evidence on the Javelins? If you are not in Ukraine either with direct combat experience using this weapon you are not qualified and neither are we. There are limited supplies of these high end weapons like Javelins until Raytheon-Lockheed Martin can start manufacturing these weapons for Ukraine.

One aspect is certainly noticed about reporting on these high end weapons. That is US media reporting on this Javelin weapon show all favorable and mostly exaggerated claims as to its effectiveness, while foreign media sources demonstrate a more realistic evaluation of the Javelin's performance in Ukraine. The Javelin's "fierce reputation" is mostly a marketing ploy. Like selling the features of a new car. Russian tank crews have apparently developed tactics to avoid Javelin missiles. A tank is supported by a BTR-82/80 with its auto cannon that provides devastating suppressive fire to protect tanks for example. And in urban combat like in Ukraine Javelins are not effective at all. Then we come to the prospect of US-supplied weapons including Javelin missiles being sold on the black market by the ever present criminal element inside the Ukrainian military who personally profit off the weapons and drug trade.

Who is Jack Murphy and where did he get his stats on the Javelin being used in Ukraine from?

Deep Dive: The U.S. military program to arm Ukraine with Javelin anti-tank missiles

Really? Says who? Some unnamed journalist in Ukraine who isn't in eastern Ukraine where the real fighting is taking place?

There have been an untold number of Javelin missiles captured by Russians and Chechens in Ukraine. Videos have appeared of Russian soldiers and Chechen soldiers with numerous Javelin missiles in their possession being transferred by truck. Whether or not Russia is sending these captured Javelin missiles to Iran cannot be confirmed. Western media sources often run these types of questionable stories to fortify official policy position against Russia and Iran.

Russia has been sending captured US Javelins and Stingers from Ukraine to Iran, which may be able to reverse-engineer the weapons: report

There is no way to know how many NATO-supplied weapons likely including Javelin missiles have been captured by the Russians and Chechens fighting in Ukraine.
