#2176: Marine Links Obama's Useful Climate Idiots to Serco Teachers Carbon Tags, Rabbi Deaths By Kaya Chips

Plum City - (AbelDanger.net): United States Marine Field McConnell has linked Obama's useful climate idiots to offender tags used by Serco to track criminal and victim carbon footprints through the Teachers' pension fund (TIAA-CREF) and coordinate the deaths of four rabbis at a Jerusalem crime scene allegedly monitored by Freescale Semiconductor's CO2 Kaya microprocessor chips.

McConnell claims that the Teachers with over $2.6 trillion in assets under management as of August 1, 2014 paid a pair of idiots – specifically Obama's terrorist mentors Bernardine Dohrn and Bill Ayers – to track criminals equipped with Serco carbon tags and Kaya chips to snuff-film crime scenes such as the Mumbai Chabad House where Rabbi Gavriel Noach Holtzberg and his wife were tortured and murdered on 26 November 2008; to the six-ship Gaza flotilla where several gun-toting activists and an Israeli commando were killed in 2010 and to the Har Nof synagogue in Jerusalem where three rabbis were killed with guns, knives and axes on November 18, 2004.

McConnell claims that the Teachers – a major investor in Serco with its hot air banker HSBC –  and its co-investors in the $92 trillion Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) helped finance Michelle Obama's 2008 election campaign for her husband in support of the carbon savings associated with partial-birth abortion and infanticides as filmed in the University of Chicago Hospitals.

McConnell claims that the Teachers and HSBC paid Barack Obama and David Archer at the University of Chicago to develop a Kaya Identity CO2 on-line calculator chip with Freescale so that Serco's taggers could backhaul snuff-film money-shot images to HSBC archives in London.

McConnell alleges that HSBC funded Bob Coulling – Serco's  PFI sponsor – to set up the Airbus telemetry and command station at Oakhanger in the United Kingdom so that Freescale's Chinese employees on MH Flight 370 could be tracked to a Diego Garcia crime scene and killed in CO2 snuff film productions to extort concessions (silence?) from China's government leaders.

McConnell alleges that in her March visit to Beijing, Michelle Obama extorted President Xi Jinping into an agreement to cut China's carbon emissions after showing him snuff films of the murders of the Freescale employees who designed Kaya chips for planes tracked through the Airbus Telemetry and Command Station at Oakhanger managed by Serco's Gary Butcher.

McConnell attributes the collapsing Serco share price and the recent resignation announcement of its chairman Alastair Lyons to Abel Danger's research into the Teachers protection racket, the Serco snuff film tags and the Freescale CO2 death chip, all of which were integral elements of Civil Case 1:08-1600 (RMC) – a lawsuit capable of exposing how 9/11 was accomplished and by whom.

McConnell invites un-compromised individuals in the entities below to investigate Serco's Airbus Telemetry and Command Station Manager at Oakhanger, Gary Butcher, and the 32-year veteran PFI manager Bob Coulling for the tradecraft needed to conceal Obama's useful climate idiots and Serco Teachers snuff-film trade, especially in electronic warfare, tagging, asset recovery and paedophile image analysis for MOD, GCHQ, CESG, Police, Home Office, Serious Organised Crime Agency, Ministry of Justice and Customs and Revenue and Immigration Service.

Censored Footage from the Gaza Flotilla - How Violence Breaks Out

Gazans celebrate, Israel condemns Jerusalem synagogue attack

November 18, 2014 | 1:31am

Three Americans — including one with close ties to Boston and New York — were among four rabbis killed Tuesday during a brutal attack inside a Jerusalem synagogue.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to "respond with a harsh hand" to the horrific assault that also brought a condemnation from Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas.

Netanyahu took swift action, ordering authorities to destroy the homes of Tuesday's attackers as well as those of Palestinians involved in other recent deadly attacks.

In an address to his nation on Tuesday night, Netanyahu said he was incensed to see news footage of Palestinians dancing in the streets of Bethlehem and the Gaza Strip, celebrating the slaughter.

"But what is most shocking is that it's just the cruelty of the massacre but also those (images) of glee and joy in Gaza, in Bethlehem and in other places where candy was handed out, where fireworks were set off, where praises were heard," the prime minister said.

The Americans were identified as Aryeh Kupinsky, Kalmen Levin and Moshe Twersky.
Liverpool-born Avraham Shmuel Goldberg, who most recently lived in North London, was the British citizen killed in the attack, according to The Sun newspaper.

The four all held dual citizenship with Israel. They were slaughtered when two Palestinians armed with meat cleavers and a gun stormed the building and began attacking people.

"This affects both nations, Israel as well as the United States. Our hearts go out to the families who obviously are undergoing enormous grief right now," President Obama said.

"Secretary [of State John] Kerry has spoken to Prime Minister Netanyahu. President Abbas has strongly condemned the attacks. "

The attackers did not cover their faces and they shouted "Allahu Akbar" during the carnage, witnesses told The Times of Israel.

Police eventually killed the attackers in a violent firefight, but not before eight others were wounded, one critically, authorities said.

"Tragically, this is not the first loss of life that we have seen in recent months," Obama said.

"Too many Israelis have died. Too many Palestinians have died. And at this difficult time, I think it's important for both Palestinians and Israelis to try to work together to lower tensions and to reject violence."
With three Americans among the victims, FBI agents will join the probe.

"When US citizens are the victims of terrorists attacks overseas, the FBI investigates the incident," a law enforcement source told The Post.

One of the American victims, Twersky, has particularly close ties to New York and Boston.

Twersky was born in Boston and his dad, Isadore Twersky, is founder of Harvard's Center for Jewish Studies.

Twersky's grandfather was prominent philosopher Joseph B. Soloveitchik, dean at New York's Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary at Yeshiva University, according to published reports.

"He (Isadore Twersky) was my colleague, Professor Twersky at Harvard for many years. And the victim's mother was the teacher of my children and the victim's grandfather (Soloveitchik) was one of the greatest rabbis in modern Jewish history," American defense attorney and former Harvard law professor Alan Dershowitz told CNN.

"The man who was killed today was a man of peace, a scholar, somebody who was not really involved in politics. He just loved learning."

Twersky graduated from Maimonides School in Brookline, Mass., WCVB reported.

The school posted on its website Tuesday: "We mourn the loss of our 1973 graduate, Rabbi Mosheh Twersky, z"l, murdered by terrorists in Jerusalem."

The abbreviation z"l stands for zichrono livracha, which means, "may his/her memory be blessed."

The school also said it was "engulfed in grief and rage" over Twersky's slaying.

Rabbi Menacham Genack, chief executive officer of Orthodox Union, was close friends with Twersky and was a student of Soloveitchik's.

"I was supposed to call him today. I woke up to learn he was murdered. I was absolutely stunned," a crushed Genack said. "I spoke to his mother yesterday and I was supposed to call him today."

Genack called Twersky a humble and caring teacher who didn't deserve to die in such a brutal manner.

"This story is becoming too painful over and over again," he said of the non-stop cycle of violence. "It's very disconcerting, it's incomprehensible."

Edwin Maltzman, one of Twersky's classmates at the Maimonides School, fondly recalled his old friend's love of scripture — and courage to question elders in class.

"He always engaged with the rabbis in discussions. Moshe was verbally sparring with them on another level," Maltzman told The Post.

"A rabbi would make a point and Moshe would challenge him. Sometimes the rabbis would retract their points. He was on another level."

Maltzman, a 58-year-old Brooklyn man, added: "This is such a terrible tragedy. To be murdered inside a synagogue — that's unbelievable."

David Osborne, one of Goldberg's best friends, called his pal a "pillar of the community."

"He was the most wonderful person you could meet," Osborne told Jewish News.

"I was on my way to the synagogue when I heard screams and shots being fired — I knew instantly it was bad."

The attack in the ultra-Orthodox Har Nof neighborhood in the western part of Jerusalem was the deadliest in Israel's capital since 2008, when a Palestinian gunman shot eight people in a religious seminary.

A worshiper inside the Kehillat Bnei Torah synagogue said the attackers "went wild," shooting and hacking helpless victims.

There were about two dozen people inside when the attack unfolded.

"I looked up and saw someone shooting people at point-blank range," witness Yosef Posternak told Israel Radio. "Then someone came in with what looked like a butcher's knife and he went wild."

Posternak said unarmed worshipers tried to fight back.

"I saw people lying on the floor, blood everywhere," he said. "People were trying to fight with (the attackers) but they didn't have much of a chance."

Netanyahu promised Israel will find out who ordered this attack.

"We will respond with a harsh hand to the brutal murder of Jews that came to worship and were cut down by murderers,'' he said.

The prime minister described Tuesday's bloodbath as a "cruel murder of Jews who came to pray and were killed by despicable murderers."

Kerry said he spoke to Netanyahu after the assault, and denounced Tuesday's terrorist attack.

Kerry blamed the attack on Palestinian calls for "days of rage," and said Palestinian leaders must take serious steps to refrain from such incitement.

"People who had come to worship God in the sanctuary of a synagogue were hatcheted and hacked and murdered in that holy place, in an act of pure terror and senseless brutality and murder," Kerry said in London, where he was meeting with UK Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond.

"I call on Palestinian leadership at every single level to condemn this in the most powerful terms."

Hours after Kerry spoke, Abbas condemned the attack, the first time he has done so since a recent spike in deadly violence against Israelis began. He also called for an end to Israeli "provocations" surrounding a contested holy site.

In a statement, Abbas' office said he "condemns the killing of the worshipers in a synagogue in west Jerusalem."

The statement called for an end to the "invasion" of the mosque at the contested sacred site in the city and a halt to "incitement" by Israeli ministers.

The attackers were identified as cousins, Ghassan and Oday Abu Jamal from the Jabal Mukaber neighborhood in east Jerusalem, according to Israeli police spokeswoman Luba Samri.

The militant Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine claimed the cousins were members of its radical group but didn't take credit for the attack.

Shortly after the attack, Israeli police moved in on the home where the cousins lived. Neighbors threw stones at cops, who responded with riot dispersal weapons.

Fourteen members of the Abu Jamal family were arrested, neighbors said.

News photos and footage showed discarded religious items covered in blood at the scene.

"It was extremely upsetting to see seriously injured people just near a shul like that," said Dr. Joyce Morel, a Canadian immigrant and volunteer first responder. "The gentleman I tended to first still had his tefillin (phylacteries) on."

Morel described the heartbreaking image of loved ones rushing to the scene, in a desperate search for men who might have been inside the synagogue.

"There were also women there who didn't know where their husbands were, and others who didn't know where their father was," Morel told the Haaretz newspaper. "Those were most likely the ones killed. It was very hard to deal with, very upsetting."

Hamas, the terror group that control the Gaza Strip, praised the slaughter.

The militants claimed these killings were in retaliation for the death of a Palestinian bus driver, who was found in hanged in vehicle on Sunday.

An autopsy called the man's death a suicide but the man's family has rejected that ruling.

"Hamas calls for the continuation of revenge operations and stresses that the Israeli occupation bears responsibility for tension in Jerusalem," Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said.

"ALL ABOARD! OBAMA PALS BACK VIOLENT GAZA FLOTILLA
Activists from president's circle of friends top supporters of anti-Israel protest ships
Published: 05/31/2010 at 2:27 PM   AARON KLEIN About | Email Archive

The group behind the Gaza flotilla that engaged in deadly clashes with Israeli commandos today counts among its top supporters the friends and associates of President Barack Obama, namely the founders of the Weather Underground terrorist organization, William Ayers and Bernardine Dohrn, as well as Jodie Evans, the leader of the radical activist organization Code Pink.

Earlier today, Israeli navy commandos raided the six-ship flotilla, encountering heavy resistance and live fire from the activists. Several activists were killed and dozens of others were reportedly injured, as were several of the Israeli commandos.

The flotilla was organized by the Free Gaza Movement, a coalition of leftist human rights activists and pro-Palestinian groups engaged in attempts to break a blockade imposed by Israel on the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip.

Ayers, Dohrn and Evans' Code Pink have led several recent Free Gaza Movement initiatives, including attempted marches into the Gaza Strip. Dohrn was in the Middle East just last month on behalf of the movement.

Ayers and Dohrn were close associates for years with President Obama, while Evans was a fundraiser and financial bundler for Obama's presidential campaign.

In January, WND reported Ayers, Dohrn and Evans were involved in provoking chaos on the streets of Egypt in an attempt to enter Gaza with the Free Gaza Movement to join in solidarity with the territory's population and leadership.

The three helped to stir riots after the Egyptian government refused to allow a large number of protesters to enter neighboring Gaza. Eventually, the protesters accepted an Egyptian offer of allowing about 100 marchers into Gaza. Once in the territory, those marchers were reportedly met on the Gaza side by Hamas' former Prime Minister Ismail Haniyeh.

At the time of the march, Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., wrote a letter in support of a "humanitarian delegation from Massachusetts" to Gaza. Members of Ayers', Dohrn and Evans' group documented on their blogs how Kerry's letter was used at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo while attempting to pressure Egypt to let their group into Gaza.

Images of the letter were also posted on the Electronic Intifada website run by Ali Abunimah, who was with Evans' group in Egypt and who, WND previously reported, spoke at pro-Palestinian events in the 1990s alongside Obama. In one such event, a 1999 fundraiser for Palestinian "refugees," Abunimah recalled introducing Obama on stage.

Kerry's office previously met with Code Pink members, WND has learned. Sarah Roche-Mahdi of Code Pink also is a member of the United for Peace and Justice Palestine Task Force, which met with Kerry's staffers.

Kerry last year became the most senior U.S. politician to visit the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, although at the time he did not meet with Hamas leaders.

Dohrn later wrote on a blog that she was briefly detained at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo following the January protests there by her group: "Bill and I went to the American Embassy at 10 a.m. and asked to see the ambassador. We were ushered into a holding pen a block away from the embassy building where we joined 35 people already there, surrounded by Egyptian soldiers," she wrote.

Deadly clashes

Israeli Naval Forces intercepted the flotilla today attempting to break the maritime closure of the Gaza Strip.

An Israel Defense Forces spokesperson told WND commandos boarded the ships after numerous warnings from Israel requesting the ships redirect toward the Israeli port of Ashdod, where they would be able to unload their aid supplies, which could then be transferred to the Gaza Strip after undergoing security inspections.

During the boarding of one of the ships, the Marmara, activists onboard attacked IDF naval personnel with live fire and light weaponry including knives and clubs, the IDF spokesperson said.

"The demonstrators had clearly prepared their weapons in advance for this specific purpose," said the spokesperson. "As a result of this life-threatening and violent activity, naval forces first employed riot dispersal means, followed by live fire.

"IDF naval personnel encountered severe violence, including use of weaponry prepared in advance in order to attack them," said the spokesperson.

The IDF released a YouTube video clearly showing activists attacking Israeli commandos, including attacks with live fire.

Close Obama associates

Evans formed Code Pink, a far-left activist organization, in 2002 to protest America's war in Iraq. The group previously met with Hamas and with leaders of the Taliban. Evans was a fundraiser and financial bundler for Obama's presidential campaign.

Abunimah traveled in some of the same political circles as Obama in the 1990s. Abunimah previously described meeting with Obama at a fundraiser at the home of Columbia University professor Rashid Khalidi, reportedly a former PLO activist. Khalidi was also a close associate of Obama.

"[Obama] came with his wife. That's where I had a chance to really talk to him," Abunimah recalled. "It was an intimate setting. He convinced me he was very aware of the issues [and] critical of U.S. bias toward Israel and lack of sensitivity to Arabs. ... He was very supportive of U.S. pressure on Israel."

According to quotes obtained by Gulf News, Abunimah recalled a 2004 meeting in a Chicago neighborhood while Obama was running for his Senate seat. Abunimah quoted Obama telling him "warmly" he was sorry that "I haven't said more about Palestine right now, but we are in a tough primary race."

"I'm hoping when things calm down, I can be more up front," Abunimah reportedly quoted the senator as saying.

Abunimah said Obama urged him to "keep up the good work" at the Chicago Tribune, where Abunimah contributed guest columns that were highly critical of Israel.

Ayers, meanwhile, became a name in last year's presidential campaign when it was disclosed the radical worked closely with Obama for years.

Ayers helped launch Obama's political career with a fundraiser in his home. Obama served on the board of a Chicago nonprofit alongside Ayers. The terrorist later hired Obama to serve as chairman of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, a job Obama later cited as experience that helped qualify him to run for public office.

While at the CAC, Obama and Ayers both granted funds to the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN.

WND columnist Jack Cashill has produced a series of persuasive arguments that it was Ayers who ghostwrote Obama's award-winning autobiography, "Dreams from My Father."

Ayers and Dohrn were two of the main founders of the Weather Underground, which bombed the New York City Police headquarters in 1970, the Capitol in 1971 and the Pentagon in 1972. The group was responsible for some 30 bombings aimed at destroying the defense and security infrastructures of the U.S.

Characterizing the Weather Underground as "an American Red Army," Ayers summed up the organization's ideology: "Kill all the rich people. Break up their cars and apartments. Bring the revolution home. Kill your parents."

"Everything was absolutely ideal on the day I bombed the Pentagon," Ayers recalled in his 2001 memoir, "Fugitive Days." "The sky was blue. The birds were singing. And the bastards were finally going to get what was coming to them."

Ayers brandished his unrepentant radicalism for years later, as evidenced by his now notorious 2001 interview with the New York Times, published one day after the 9/11 attacks, in which he stated, "I don't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough."

Ayers posed for a photograph accompanying the New York Times piece that showed him stepping on an American flag. He said of the U.S.: "What a country. It makes me want to puke."

"Gavriel Noach Holtzberg (Hebrewגבריאל נח הולצברג‎; 1979 – 26 November 2008[1]) was an Orthodox rabbi and the Chabad emissary to Mumbai, India, where he and his wife Rivka ran the Mumbai Chabad House. He was also a religious leader and community builder for the local Jewish Indian community,[2][3][4] and led the Friday-night Shabbat services at the Knesset Eliyahoosynagogue.[5] Holtzberg and his wife died during the November 2008 Mumbai attacks.  ...

On 26 November 2008, Nariman House was attacked during the November 2008 Mumbai attacks and the Holtzbergs were taken hostage. Sandra Samuel, a maid at the house and the nanny for their two-year-old son, Moshe, managed to escape with the boy. As the siege began, Samuel locked the doors and hid in a room. She heard Rivka screaming "Sandra, Sandra, help, Sandra." The gunmen reportedly went door-to-door, searching for targets, so Samuel unlocked her door, but they did not find her. She then ran upstairs to find the Holtzbergs shot and lying on the ground with their son crying over them, so she picked him up and ran to the exit.[20] The Holtzbergs and other hostages were reportedly tortured.[21]

Two days after the siege of the house began, Indian security forces seized the house and found the Holtzbergs and six others dead. It was concluded that the Holtzberg's wife had been killed many hours before,[22] and several of the bodies were covered in tallit, including Rivka Holtzberg's, leading witnesses to speculate that the rabbi managed to cover the bodies before he was killed.[23]"

"Doctors: Terrorist Torture of Jewish Victims 'Beyond Words'
Doctors said that Muslim terrorists tortured Jewish victims before killing them. A picture of the revered Chabad Rebbe Schneerson was unharmed.
By Tzvi Ben Gedalyahu First Publish: 12/1/2008, 12:20 PM

Mumbai doctors who examined the bodies of the victims of the Muslim terror massacre said the victims were tortured before being slaughtered.

"Of all the bodies, the Israeli victims bore the maximum torture marks," a doctor who examined the bodies told the Indian news website Rediff.com.

Click here for more pictures from inside the Mumbai Chabad House

"It was clear that they were killed on Wednesday. It was obvious that they were tied up and tortured before they were killed. It was so bad that I do not want to go over the details even in my head again," he said.

Another doctor commented, "It was very strange. I have seen so many dead bodies in my life, and was yet traumatized. A bomb blast victim's body might have been torn apart and could be a very disturbing sight. But the bodies of the victims in this attack bore such signs about the kind of violence of urban warfare that I am still unable to put my thoughts to words," he said.

Intelligence officials confirmed the doctors' observations. Ajmal Kamal, the only terrorist who was not killed after he and his gang had managed to murder nearly 200 people and wound hundreds others, told officials that the terrorists "were specifically asked to target the foreigners, especially the Israelis."

Intelligence Bureau sources were quoted as estimating that the terrorists did not want to keep them alive in order not to attract international attention. "They also might have feared the chances of Israeli security agencies taking over the operations at the Nariman House," otherwise known as the Chabad House, he reasoned.

One of the few objects in the Chabad House that was unscathed in the massacre was a picture of the revered Chabad Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, whose past spiritual leadership still provides unending faith for hundreds of thousands of Jews worldwide.
The bodies of the terrorists were also in very poor condition; doctors reported that they were unable to identify the bodies of many of the terrorists because of their decimated state.

Medical personnel who examined the bodies of the terrorists stated, "Their faces were beyond recognition. One official told the Indian website, "The security forces that brought the bodies told us [they] were the bodies of the terrorists," adding there was no other way they could have identified them.

"A CRIMINAL SLIPS THROUGH
BY NEWSWEEK STAFF 4/24/05 AT 8:00 PM

Chris O'Keefe, a tech manager at TIAA-CREF, the massive pension fund for teachers and professors, figured it was a no-brainer to hire Sonia Radencovich. Her resume listed the right experience for testing TIAA-CREF's computer databases that held client data like Social Security numbers. And she was a contractor from Tek Systems, a "preferred vendor" to TIAA-CREF. O'Keefe assumed Tek had checked her background. "She seemed like the type of person you could trust," he says.

Radencovich, however, left some key facts off her resume, NEWSWEEK has learned. Just days before she began work at TIAA-CREF last Sept. 27, she was sentenced to four years in prison for her role in a huge financial scam. Under what appears to be her real name--Sonia Howe--she was convicted of helping her friend and lover Martin Frankel bilk more than $200 million from insurance firms. She was to begin her sentence on Jan. 4, a few months after she started at TIAA-CREF, at the same prison that housed Martha Stewart for five months.

But her criminal background went undetected for nearly two months, during which she had access to customer data from a number of colleges, including Harvard, the University of Michigan and Purdue. A co-worker knew about her from the Frankel scam (he's serving 16 years) and notified management. Fund execs say they then discovered she had brought her laptop computer to the office--a violation of policy--and downloaded some data. She was fired in November and is now in prison on charges of racketeering and money laundering.

A TIAA-CREF spokeswoman says that an ongoing "forensic investigation" of Howe's activities shows she had access to data from fewer than 100 people, though Howe "potentially had access" to many more. She says there's no evidence that Howe misused the information. Howe's attorney, Stephen Manning, says she "did not make any unauthorized use of data."

But the security breach marks a new twist in the fast-growing problem of identity theft. Recent cases involved hackers who bypassed security controls or posed as legitimate customers to gain access to data. The lapse at TIAA-CREF, however, shows that even criminals can get easy access.

NEWSWEEK has learned that Tek Systems used a unit of Kroll Inc., a well-known consulting firm, to conduct its background checks. A copy of its report on Howe--obtained by NEWSWEEK--shows that she had used many different names over the years, including her real name. A spokeswoman for Kroll said Tek ordered only a "standard criminal background procedure" to search records over seven years just in the counties where she lived. It didn't include Connecticut, where she was convicted in federal court (a Google search of "Sonia Howe" turns up many hits that include government filings citing her sentencing and her ties to Frankel). An attorney for Tek Systems said the firm will expand background checks for clients, like TIAA-CREF, "if they ask."

TIAA-CREF, which says it's beefed up its internal controls, also fired O'Keefe for failing to supervise his staff, giving Howe access to client data and not stopping her from using her laptop at the office. He has now filed a "whistle-blower complaint" with the Labor Department and is considering suing his former employer. "Why is this my fault?" O'Keefe says in an interview. "I wasn't supposed to do a background check." Clearly, somebody should have--or at least done a Google search."

"Freescale and ST target CO2 emission reduction
20th May 2008

The first collaborative semiconductor development between Freescale Semiconductor and STMicroelectronics will target emissions control in vehicles with a 32-bit microcontroller.

The intention is to provide a higher performance alternative to the 16-bit MCUs commonly used in powertrain electronic systems.

It is the processing capability of the MPC563xM family of 32-bit microcontrollers that allows for the addition of on-chip emissions control.

A DSP engine built into the MCU's Power Architecture e200 core carries ouit the fuel economy functions. The aim is a three to five per cent reduction in CO2 emissions, claimed Freescale

"This processing power enables engine designers to develop powertrain solutions that help reduce CO2 emissions, as well as to address current and future automotive emissions requirements," said Paul Grimme, senior v-p and general manager of Freescale's microcontroller group.

The MCUs have up to 1.5Mbyte of flash memory and 81kbyte of SRAM. The Power Architecture core scales up to 80MHz.

The result of a joint development by Freescale and STMicroelectronics, the MCU will be available as a dual-sourced product from both companies.

"Bin Laden addresses climate change
In an unauthenticated tape, a voice purported to be that of Osama bin Laden's expresses concern over climate change.
Last Modified: 01 Oct 2010 21:11 GMT

Osama bin Laden, the leader of the al-Qaeda network, has expressed concern about global climate change and the recent flooding in Pakistan, in an audiotape posted on the internet, which would be his first public remarks in six months, a monitoring group has said.

"The number of victims caused by climate change is very big... bigger than the victims of wars," said the voice, whose authenticity could not be immediately verified and was made available by SITE Intelligence Group, which released the recording on Friday.

The tape would be the first time Bin Laden has spoken publicly since March 25.

It was not clear when the tape was made, but Bin Laden congratulated Muslims on the holy fasting month of Ramadan which ended on September 10.

"The catastrophe [in Pakistan] is very big and it is difficult to describe it," he said.

Preventive measures

Bin Laden made a series of recommendations to deal with climate change, namely preventive measures that he said should be taken by governments in the face of disasters.

"Providing tents, food and medicine is a duty... but the disasters [facing many Muslim countries] are much bigger than what is being offered.

"Action should not be confined to providing emergency aid... but to set up a capable relief task force that has the knowledge and experience needed" to meet the challenges.

One of them, Bin Laden said, is "setting up studies of urban areas that lie by rivers and valleys in the Muslim world," pointing to floods that hit the Saudi city of Jeddah earlier this year.

He also called for a review of security guidelines concerning dams and bridges in Muslim nations and said more should be done to invest in agriculture to guarantee food security for all.

"Investment in agriculture needs a lot of efforts and yields small gains. The issue today is not about gains or losses, but about life or death."

In one of two tapes issued in January, Bin Laden blamed major industrial nations for climate change, a statement the US state department said showed that he was struggling to stay relevant.

In his most recent remarks, he warned that Al-Qaeda would kill Americans if the alleged mastermind of the 2001 attacks on the United States, Khaled Sheikh Mohammed, was executed.

Plans to send Mohammed to trial just steps away from his alleged crime scene in New York had to be put on hold after a furious public backlash over potential costs and security threats.

In another statement in January, Bin Laden claimed responsibility for the botched Christmas Day bombing attempt of a US airliner, vowing further strikes on American targets.

Bin Laden also referred to US support for Israel in the January message.

"God willing, our attacks against you will continue as long as you maintain your support to Israel," he said.

Bin Laden's whereabouts are unknown, but in August, General David Petraeus, the US commander in Afghanistan, said bin Laden is "far buried" in the remote mountains between Afghanistan and Pakistan and that capturing him remains a key task."

The Encyclopædia Britannica defines a carbon offset as "any activity that compensates for the emission of carbon dioxide (CO2) or other greenhouse gases (measured in carbon dioxide equivalents [CO2e]) by providing for an emission reduction elsewhere."[17]"

 "The "Kaya Identity"

We can actually play around with greenhouse gas emissions scenarios ourselves. To do so, we will take advantage of something known as the Kaya Identify. Technically, the identity is just a definition, relating the quantity of annual carbon emissions to a factor of terms that reflect (1)population growth, (2) relative (i.e., per capita) economic expansion, measured by annual GDP in dollars/person, (3) energy intensity, measured in terawatts of energy consumed per dollar added to GDP, and (4) carbon efficiency, measured in gigatons of carbon emitted per terawatt of energy used. Multiply these out, and you get gigatons of carbon emitted. If the other quantities are expressed as a percentage change per year, then the carbon emissions, too, are expressed as a percentage change per year, which, in turn, defines a future trajectory of carbon emissions and CO2concentrations.

Mathematically, the Kaya identity is expressed in the form:

F = P * (G / P) * (E / G) * (F / E),
where
F is global CO2 emissions from human sources
P is global population growth
G is world GDP
E is global energy consumption

By projecting the future changes in population growth (P), economic expansion (G/P), energy intensity (E/G), and carbon efficiency (F/E), it is possible to make an informed projection of future carbon emissions (F). Obviously, population is important as, in the absence of anything else, more people means more energy use.  Moreover, economic expansion measured by GDP per capita plays an important role, as a bigger economy means greater use of energy. The energy intensity term is where technology comes in. As we develop new energy technologies or improve the efficiency of existing energy technology, we expect that it will take less energy to increase our GDP by and additional dollar, i.e., we should see a decline in energy intensity. Last, but certainly not least, is the carbon efficiency. As we develop and increasingly switch over to renewable energy sources and non-fossil fuel based energy alternatives and improve the carbon efficiency of existing fossil fuel sources (e.g., by finding a way to extract and sequester CO2), we can expect a decline in this quantity as well, i.e., less carbon emitted per unit of energy production.

Fortunately, we do not have to start from scratch.  There is a convenient on-line calculator here, provided courtesy of David Archer of the University of Chicago (and a RealClimate blogger ). Below a brief demonstration of how the tool can be used. After you watch the demonstration,  use the link provided above to play around with the calculator yourself."

"Congress
By Ed Barnes Published March 25, 2009FoxNews.com

In 2000 and 2001, while Barack Obama served as a board member for a Chicago-based charitable foundation, he helped to fund a pioneering carbon trading exchange that is likely to fill a critical role in the controversial cap-and-trade carbon reduction scheme that President Obama is now trying to push rapidly through Congress.

During those two years, the Joyce Foundation gave nearly $1.1 million in two separate grants that were instrumental in developing and launching the privately-owned Chicago Climate Exchange, which now calls itself "North America's only cap and trade system for all six greenhouse gases, with global affiliates and projects worldwide."

One of those gases is carbon dioxide, the most ubiquitous greenhouse gas and the focus of the most far-reaching -- and contentious -- efforts to combat "climate change." On Monday, Obama's Environmental Protection Agency declared carbon dioxide a public health threat."

"Climate change, water scarcity, flooding, pollution and deforestation present material risks and opportunities to investors.

In order to protect their long term investments, institutional investors must act to reduce the long-term risks arising from environmental externalities.

CDP investor initiatives – backed in 2014 by more than 767 institutional investors representing an excess of US$92 trillion in assets – give investors access to a global source of year-on-year information [hot-air telemetry tracking] that supports long-term objective analysis. This includes evidence and insight into companies' greenhouse gas emissions, water usage and strategies for managing climate change, water and deforestation risks."
