People's Socialist Republic of California (PSRC)

Editor's note: Transparent California (transparentcalifornia.com) is a public transparency website that provides open access to detailed records of salaries, pensions, and total compensation for millions of California government employees across state, county, city, and special district agencies. It aggregates and publishes annual data from public sources like CalPERS, allowing users to search, sort, and download information by name, job title, agency, or year, highlighting everything from routine pay to high-profile pensions and benefits packages that often spark debate about public spending and union influence. The site's mission is to promote accountability by making taxpayer-funded compensation fully visible and downloadable for analysis. Transparent California released 2022 data on compensation for 2.7 million public employees across 2,518 agencies and 1.4 million pension records. It highlights high pay, including multiple police officers exceeding $500k total compensation (e.g., El Cerrito chief over $850k), underscoring taxpayer costs for government salaries and benefits. All records are freely searchable on the site.

West Hollywood water main break floods homes, cars, opens sinkhole

By Kevin Dolak | July 17, 2026

Multiple major roadways in West Hollywood have been closed after a water main break at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Holloway Drive caused major flooding, damaging parked vehicles and rushing into apartments and homes in the trendy city.

The leak stems from a rupture in a 36-inch steel pipe that occurred around 2:30 a.m. Thursday, according to Anselmo Collins, chief operating officer at the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power. Water was shut off in the area by around 7:30 a.m. local time after the water main break was first reported, according to the city of West Hollywood; the city's Department of Public Works quickly deployed personnel to the scene. The city said it is now working with the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power and the Metropolitan Water District to determine next steps.

It appears more and more Americans especially...

Editor's note: ...the people of California are starting to consider the Democratic Party as the party of crime and violence. Might explain why Tucker Carlson has had enough of this and the other criminal syndicate posing as "political parties" (see America's Greatest Threat Is Internal Division) stating he is going to help start a new political party. California continues to experience significant net domestic out-migration, with hundreds of thousands of residents leaving annually. The out-migration is driven primarily by the state's sky-high housing and cost of living, increasing taxes, and related quality-of-life pressures, resulting in billions in lost income and tax revenue. Decades of one-party Democratic criminal syndicate rule have turned the once-golden state of California under Governor White Teeth into a tale of disastrous progressive failure, with crushing taxes, punitive regulations, unaffordable housing, soft-on-crime experiments, and reckless spending driving out residents and businesses (see the case of Public Storage) while fostering homelessness, urban decay, and fiscal mismanagement that now threaten the state's future.

Alexis Podesta wore FBI wire in investigation of Newsom's former chief of staff

By Josh Koehn | July 3, 2026

The FBI had a mole inside Gov. Gavin Newsom's political orbit before the agency's corruption probe expanded into the governor and his wife, The Post has learned.

Democrat insider Alexis Podesta, 45, secretly recorded conversations during the criminal probe into Newsom's then-chief of staff, Dana Williamson, 53, who pleaded guilty to federal fraud and tax charges in May, according to Williamson's attorney.

It's your move Californians

Editor's note: Governor White Teeth must be removed from office before his gang finishes looting and destroying California. This slick elitist has turned the Golden State into a corrupt neo-feudal shithole disaster of sky-high taxes, fleeing businesses, failing schools, energy blackouts, and a homelessness industrial complex that burned tens of billions with zero results, while streets drown in filth and despair. Now exposed: the Newsom family grift machine, with Jennifer Siebel Newsom's nonprofits funneling millions to her own film company for propaganda "docs" sold to state schools, massive behested payments from donors seeking favors, and suspicious multimillion-dollar cash real estate buys their disclosed finances can't explain, triggering active DOJ scrutiny. Enough of this hypocritical, self-dealing greed machine. Under Governor White Teeth, California has hit critical mass.

But thanks to a couple of investigative reporters with stronger stomachs than I have, let's see if I can't put everything you need to know into one easily digestible column.

California's state motto may still be "Eureka," but half the country thinks it should be "Count Again"

Editor's note: A little late for launching a probe is't it? Voting fraud has been going on for a very long time and Californians are only now getting a "probe?" Isn't this what communists do best? Communism is presented as a political system that promises equality and public benefits (they steal value and unearned power from the productive class) while concentrating power in the hands of corrupt elites who are undermining institutions in California, eroding social order, and destroying economic stability. Elections in California reflect a broader pattern of political manipulation, mass dependency, ideological decline and philosophical bankruptcy, with fraudulent mail-in ballots, media complicity, and identity-based politics being used to entrench failed incompetent leadership despite rising crime, homelessness, and public disorder. Communist and socialist movements are rooted in deception, authoritarianism, and social decay rather than genuine public service. Welcome to California...

Feds Launch Probe Into California's Elections

By Zero Hedge | June 7, 2026

Days after California’s primary election, the votes are still being counted, and the winners are still unknown, and no one, save for California officials, seems happy about it.
“The fact that California elections often can't be resolved for weeks is kind of insane and not common in other electoral systems around the world," Political data analyst Nate Silver wrote on X on Tuesday.

"Like honestly 'it's going to take us several weeks to tell you who won the election' is failed state sh-t and should be much more stigmatized. The fact that it's tolerated is bad too a textbook example of learned helplessness."

California no longer governs like a state attempting...

Editor's note: ...to control spending. It governs like a harvesting machine that consumes revenue faster than society can produce it. Every economic innovation eventually becomes another target for extraction. Homes are taxed. Fuel is taxed. Income is taxed. Property is taxed. Energy is taxed. Automobiles are taxed. Utilities are taxed. Food is taxed. Now even the digital tools required to work, create, communicate, and survive in the modern economy are being pulled into Sacramento's revenue net. The message is unmistakable: nothing productive will remain untaxed once government dependency on endless spending reaches critical mass. What makes the proposal especially revealing is the timing. Californians already face crushing living costs, out of control rent, failing infrastructure in major cities, visible urban decay, mass retail theft, corporate flight, and one of the largest population outflows in modern American history (see Here's Where Wealth Is Moving In America). Yet instead of confronting the structural failures driving people away, the political class behaves like an empire in decline, squeezing harder as the tax base weakens. The software tax is not merely about revenue. To critics, it symbolizes a government so financially unbalanced it can no longer distinguish between economic vitality and a resource to be harvested until exhaustion.

"Blade Runner, here we come."

Editor's note: Spencer Pratt is gaining unexpected momentum in the Los Angeles mayoral race, with recent debate performances and viral campaign ads boosting his visibility ahead of the June primary. Despite being a registered Republican, Pratt has positioned himself as a nonpartisan outsider focused on homelessness, crime, and public safety, issues Pratt says are being "mishandled by current city leadership." The problem there is no leadership. Polls and online reactions following last week's debate showed strong support for Pratt. Democrats and fellow Marxist travelers are "nervous" as incumbent Mayor Karen Bass faces growing pressure in an increasingly unpredictable race.

The Pacific Palisades fire ignited on January 7, 2025, in the very last days of the "Joe Biden" fake presidency. 6,837 total buildings destroyed plus about 1,000 damaged. The Altadena fire across town in Eaton Canyon was arguably worse: 9,418 buildings destroyed. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass was in Ghana at the time to attend the inauguration of president John Dramani Mahama, part of a small U.S. presidential delegation sent by the "Biden" administration.

The Abrahamic religions are causing all kinds...

Editor's note: ...of problems in the world and now these problems are going to take a foothold in California. This is the press conference announcing legislation that will recognize Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha as official California state Holidays. An actual law passed to recognize two major Islamic festivals. This Assembly Bill 2017 is clearly unconstitutional, as it is in direct contradiction to the Establishment Clause of the First Amendment (strict interpretation), yet here are California legislatures placing this Abrahamic religion in a position above Americans who happen to be Christians and Jews. This should be rejected outright because the government should not use its authority to recognize or legitimize any religious observance, whether Christmas, Easter, or Eid al-Fitr, since the state must remain strictly secular and has no rightful place endorsing religion in any form. There is no precise count of practicing Muslims in California, only estimates of the total Muslim population at roughly 500,000, because religious practice is personal and not tracked in official data. Only Eid al-Adha involves an animal ritual, where some Muslims who are able sacrifice livestock such as sheep or goats and distribute the meat as charity, while Eid al-Fitr does not include any animal sacrifice. There are no American holidays that include animal rituals. Is this enlightenment we hear so much about today? Enlightenment should be an individual dedicated to first principles rather than getting drunk on their own dogma. This is replacement theory one "law" at a time...

If a book like this was released on Amazon...

Editor's note: ...nobody would buy it. This is how corporate-sponsored communists like Governor White Teeth operate. No organic book sales. Governor White Teeth's public image is being inflated beyond what his actual abilities are which is like using a book to gaslight Californians and Americans. It's like what Ralph Waldo Emerson once observed: "What you do speaks so loudly that what you say I cannot hear." Or what you write (ghostwriter/s). Governor White Teeth's book Young Man in a Hurry was published and printed by Penguin Press, while Porchlight Book Company acted as a bulk distributor rather than a publisher. Newsom's PAC reportedly spent about $1.5 million purchasing tens of thousands of copies from Porchlight at bulk rates, which were then distributed to donors as part of fundraising efforts. In this arrangement, Penguin handled production, Porchlight handled large-scale sales and fulfillment, and the PAC used the books as incentives, a structure that can significantly boost reported sales figures. Penguin Press is an imprint of Penguin Random House, which is majority-owned by the German media conglomerate Bertelsmann, with a minority stake held by Pearson plc.

'Money Laundering'? Newsom Used Donations To Inflate Book Sales

By Luis Cornelio | April 19, 2026

California Gov. Gavin Newsom and his allies spent weeks boasting that his book, Young Man in a Hurry, became a "best-seller" within hours of its March release. However, a new report found those sales were largely driven by Newsom's own super PAC using donor funds.

This is what oligarchs do: They buy elections.

Editor's note: In the case of the Jewish oligarch Steyer, he dropped $100 million to buy the California governorship. Do Americans honestly think voting will change their circumstances? Steyer is facing accusations of hypocrisy over past investments tied to detention systems he now opposes. When elections are flooded with personal wealth (see everything is a rich man's trick), visibility and influence tilt toward the wealthiest candidates, not necessarily the most qualified. Even if legal, this dynamic undermines any remaining political fairness by turning campaigns into financial endurance contests, narrowing real competition and eroding public trust. Obviously, when campaigns are flooded with massive personal wealth, elections stop being about ideas and are bought through sheer financial power. Wealthy candidates like Steyer, the "climate candidate" (weaponized philanthropy), can saturate media until voters mistake repetition for credibility, effectively crowding out anyone without similar resources. The entire political process has become hideously distorted. Serious contenders get shut out before they're even heard, and the thoroughly corrupted system continues to bend towards elite interests the voting public know nothing about. At this point, it's not a "democratic process", it's a pay-to-play system dressed up as one.

Governor White Teeth's California is a junk yard...

Editor's note: ...losing an estimated $11.9 billion in gross adjusted income. So, Californians are stuck with these communists like Swalwell, who is demanding "full disclosure" on the Epstein saga, while he himself denies the sexual abuse allegations against him and his connections to the Chinese spy scandal. That's called deflecting attention and these criminals in Washington are very good at it. The Democratic criminal racket running the once beautiful state of California has turned that state into a "fraud factory." Why are American taxpayers footing the bill for Swalwell while Californians are ditching California in increasing numbers?

Below is my column in the New York Post and the California Post on the Swalwell scandal. Last night, Fox40 just released a statement from "senior staff" in his offices that is crushing. According to the host of "Inside California Politics," the Swalwell staffers declared that "Any decision of staff members to remain in their roles in the interim should not be viewed as support for Eric Swalwell…We, more than he, understand that we have obligations to the people we lead and to the constituents of California's 14th Congressional District."

California under Governor White Teeth has become...

Editor's note: ...a "fraud factory" where billions (even claims of $180 billion) vanish through unemployment scams, healthcare schemes, Medicare fraud, and pandemic programs while the state either looks the other way or reacts long after the money's gone. The tone here is blunt: this isn't bad luck, it's a system so bloated and poorly policed that it practically invites criminals to loot it, while leadership denies, deflects, and keeps spending like nothing's wrong. California's problems aren't about one policy. They're about a system that's broken, bloated, is being pillaged and no one is being held accountable while Kash Patel and the FBI are off doing who knows what. The fix is straightforward but unglamorous: tighten oversight to stop the financial fraud and criminality, simplify the maze of regulations that invite abuse, tie government performance to results instead of spending, remove Governor White Teeth and aggressively address housing costs driving broader instability, over taxation, increasing energy costs, fuel taxes and a state government in Sacramento who are clearly out of control.

Migration data shows a sustained net outflow...

Editor's note: ...of high-income taxpayers (according to the IRS) from Democrat-led "blue states", with California leading the way (see California's $91 Billion Warning), into lower-tax states such as Florida and Texas. The pattern is consistent: higher tax burdens, elevated cost of living, and heavy regulation correlate with capital and population flight. As top earners leave, states lose disproportionate tax revenue, tightening budgets while spending commitments remain high. The result is a structural squeeze, shrinking tax bases, persistent deficits, and declining economic competitiveness, that reinforces further outmigration. The data points to a clear trend: policy environments in these states are pushing wealth and productivity elsewhere.

Riverside County Sheriff and gubernatorial...

Editor's note: ...candidate Chad Bianco seized more than 650,000 ballots from a 2025 election as part of an investigation into alleged discrepancies in the vote count. The action was prompted by claims from a local election integrity group that as many as 45,000 excess votes may have been recorded, although county officials state the actual discrepancy is only about 103 votes due to data misunderstandings. Bianco says the goal is to physically verify the ballots and ensure election accuracy, while California Attorney General Rob Bonta and other officials criticize the move as "unprecedented, lacking evidence, and potentially damaging to public trust in elections." There is no trust. This is the end of Governor White Teeth. Americans, and especially Californians, can no longer tolerate or should have to put up with this level of corruption.

Allegations of massive fraud in California's government...

Editor's note: ...programs have intensified after Steve Hilton and his watchdog initiative CalDOGE claimed that as much as $434 billion in waste, fraud, and abuse (pillaging) may have occurred across state programs during the past five years under Governor White Teeth. The estimate, cited in several political and news reports, argues that weak oversight and mismanagement allowed billions in public funds, from pandemic relief to social programs, to be improperly distributed or lost to fraudulent claims. Critics say the scale of the alleged losses highlights serious accountability failures in California's government under Governor White Teeth and are calling for aggressive investigations and reforms to prevent further abuse of taxpayer money. Start with California: arrests and indictments.

California is a disaster...

Editor's note: ...and it just became worse for Governor White Teeth. Under the leadership of Governor White Teeth has developed some of the highest gasoline prices in the US due to a combination of heavy fuel taxes, strict environmental regulations, and declining refinery capacity. The state imposes the nation's highest gasoline tax while also requiring a special fuel blend regulated by the California Air Resources Board (an unresourceful board) that is more expensive to produce and limits supply from other states. At the same time, refinery closures and policies discouraging domestic oil production have tightened fuel supply, leaving California more dependent on imported crude. These policies, while intended to advance aggressive climate goals (fraud) and accelerate the transition away from fossil fuels (abiotic oil), have significantly increased energy costs for residents and businesses and contributed to the state's broader cost-of-living crisis.

1.3 Million Californians Just Forced a Voter ID Fight — and Gavin Newsom Can't Stop It This Time

Newsom's record suggests a slick, image-obsessed...

Editor's note: ...politician untethered to principle, presiding over the steady decline of California despite its unmatched natural beauty, economic dominance, and cultural power. Under Governor White Teeth's leadership, or faux leadership, California has been defined by crushing taxes, regulatory dysfunction that makes building anything nearly impossible, a stalled and over budgeted high-speed rail project, prolonged and heavy-handed Covid lockdowns, and policies that prioritize political virtue-signaling, such as expansive benefits for undocumented migrants, over the struggling middle class. This slick talking plastoid political freak was raised on the margins of elite San Francisco society and buoyed by lifelong ties to the Getty family. The media has cultivated for this guy the image of a self-made reformer but the truth is he relies on establishment privilege. Newsom is intellectually shallow, overly reliant on rehearsed bullet points, driven less by conviction than by a craving for approval, and emblematic of one-party misrule that has turned America's most advantaged state into fast approaching junk yard. If there is a "deep state" and if this shadow government has gone underground they really have left all the idiots to rule over America.

When you watch sh*t like this...

Editor's note: ...you know deep down inside this reprobate called a "politician" is probably a racist (see Are the Democrats the Real Racists?). It is astonishing Americans tolerate this. If Californians were smart and well organized they would do a GoFundMe for Newsom and send him to Haiti or Africa to live. Maybe he can take some of his money and build a school for Black Africans. Newsom needs to be banished to the far regions of any remaining civilization leaving the people of California alone with his patronizing Blacks and pandering bullshit.

California: Marxism isn't a visionary economic...

Editor's note: ...program, it’s an ideology (more like a brain disease) that destroys wealth, chases out capital, and punishes success. In California, this dogmatic pursuit of higher taxes, wealth redistribution and anti-business policies has sent corporations and billionaires packing, hollowed out the state’s tax base, and pushed its debt toward crisis levels. Rather than fostering prosperity, Marxist-inspired policies under the Nomenklatura Newsom incentivize flight of investment, stifle innovation, and threaten the economic freedom that once made California great. Marxists have taken "California dreamin'" to California shit hole with their utopian fantasies.

The blown billions tied to Governor Newsom's California...

Editor's note: ...highlight a deeper problem that goes beyond simple theft: corruption becomes a survival system inside institutions. As one observer of post-Soviet culture argues, corruption thrives when official rules feel like window dressing and real outcomes depend on informal networks, selective enforcement, and personal leverage. In California's mirky circumstances, accountability fragments, responsibility diffuses, and loyalty can outweigh competence, making it difficult to trace where money goes or who is responsible. Applied to California, the controversy suggests not just mismanagement but a culture in which opaque processes and negotiable consequences have eroded public trust and has blurred the line between governance and self-protection. It is time to replace many state of California officials including Newsom and demand accountability.

Taking a Ride on Newsom's "Train to Nowhere": Californians Burn Billions for Political Boondoogle

February 6, 2026 | By Jonathan Turley

In the dystopian novel 1984, George Orwell wrote, "The Party told you to reject the evidence of your eyes and ears. It was their final, most essential command." The true meaning of that line was never more clear than watching the truly bizarre photo op of California governor Gavin Newsom heralding the success of the greatest boondoggle in history: his high-speed train to nowhere. Without laying a single yard of track after burning $12 billion, Newsom showed a diesel freight train on a conventional track to create the appearance of a working railroad.

I have been writing about this boondoggle for years. Newsom promised years ago that the project would be transformative. It was, but not as he promised.

It's beyond bullshit...

Editor's note: ...in California with Newsom's Nomenklatura in Sacramento pushing for a mileage tax for California residence. Imagine that, getting taxed to drive back and forth to work to force cars with gasoline engines off the roads by these arrogant leftists running California into the ground. If this mileage tax goes through, and it is anyone's guess how they will pull it off, that means California drivers already pay state gasoline or diesel taxes, annual vehicle registration fees, the vehicle license fee based on car value, the transportation improvement fee, smog and DMV service fees, and, for electric vehicles, the road improvement fee, and if a mileage-based tax is adopted, they would also be charged a per-mile road usage fee on every mile driven. Not only this but now California will seek traffic fines up to $1,000 to increase revenue streams preying on the public. Wtf?

Major U.S. and European brands - including Ford, General Motors, Stellantis, Mercedes-Benz, and Volkswagen - have collectively burned through nearly a staggering $114 billion on EV ventures between 2022 and late 2025, according to an analysis by Robert Bryce in The New York Post.
