Bernie Sanders, now 84 years old, represents...

Editor's note: ...the massive failure of performative (performance; entertainment) opposition in American politics: after decades in office railing against inequality, the power of oligarchic interests has only expanded, leading most observers now viewing his career as a cycle of fiery rhetoric paired with limited structural change. The "Democratic socialist" (ideological obfuscation) Sanders presents to the American people a huge disparity between his revolutionary image and the enduring realities of the system he claims to fight against. The best remedy would be to remove Sanders so he can go enjoy his alleged $15 million net worth retirement taking long walks and gardening. Look at Sanders' record: Despite his decades in national politics and high-profile rhetoric, his concrete legislative achievements remain relatively limited, with many of his most ambitious proposals never translating into lasting structural change. In the final analysis Sanders' decades long tenure entrenched in the senate has not justified the public cost to maintain him (17 plus years in the senate adds up to about $2.9 million in base salary).
