Weapon Systems Make the World Go Around

Editor's note: From primitive weapons like the femur bone from an ape to hypersonic weapons. The Pentagon has printing presses in their basement printing out billions in US dollars to fund all this weapon development to kill people. This time around almost $1 billion to develop hypersonic weapons. A little late wouldn't you say? Must have got the jitters considering Russia's deployment of hypersonic missiles that we are "dying" to see demonstrated. Come on! Do it! Launch one, Russia! This is what the deep state does so well: keeps these militaries in cash and weapons development. Raytheon didn't "win" anything. Insiders gave Raytheon a no bid contract. Boeing is already on serious cash. Hypersonic is a stepping stone to space travel (everyone wants in on the technology including the Japanese) but these guys who engineer this stuff will have to kill people and destroy a lot civilian infrastructure to ever get to that point. War is a drawing board. Despite whatever is happening in the US economy there will always be billions for weapons.

Raytheon Wins Billion Dollar Contract To Develop Hypersonic Attack Cruise Missiles

BY TYLER DURDEN | SEPTEMBER 24, 2022

The Pentagon awarded Raytheon Technologies a $985 million contract to design, develop and produce a new hypersonic weapon for the US Air Force.

Raytheon won the contract to develop and demonstrate scramjet-powered hypersonic cruise missiles. It moves the Hypersonic Attack Cruise Missile, or HACM program, out of the prototyping phase and into becoming an operational weapon. It takes the number of companies aiming to build the new weapon from three to one.
Raytheon was awarded the "task order" for the Hypersonic Attack Cruise Missile that calls for weapon system design, development and initial delivery expected to be completed by March 2027.
The HACM, which has been co-developed with the Pentagon's Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, will use air- breathing propulsion to reach five times the speed of sound. -Bloomberg
HCAM will become USAF's second hypersonic missile after Lockheed's AGM-183A Air-launched Rapid Response Weapon, or ARRW, a hypersonic weapon launched from a B-52 bomber then glides to its target at super-fast speeds in an unpredictable path.
"HACM will provide our commanders with tactical flexibility to employ fighters to hold high-value, time-sensitive targets at risk while maintaining bombers for other strategic targets," Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. CQ Brown, Jr., said.

The west and its war contractors will certainly require weapons and lot's of them:
