Litigation is an exploding phenomenon in Australia by various corporate entities - banks - collections agents - councils as well as individuals and many Australians are taking a hammering, even losing their homes for minor (liabilities) debts, such as council rates or outstanding infringements.

A media source reported last year that costs of litigation, the legal paperwork filing and engagement of lawyers, is now so prohibitively high that 80% of people are electing to self represent, a phenomenon that is scaring the #@&*$ out of the judiciary by reason it loses control over the proceedings because when lawyers are engaged, the court can manipulate the outcome to your DETRIMENT. Lawyers are sworn to uphold the system & are not your ally or friend.

The downside to self representation is people don't understand how to address court nor how to act as THE Creditor or how to attain agreement in Court & hence most often lose in Court, without the large costs of litigation. If you are successful against any part of the establishment, tax offices or Banks, a judgment in your favour will be denied & you can expect the Judge to either;

1. Adjoin proceedings for a return date to be given (doesn't happen & goes into cyberspace but the other side is also denied its judgment to act against you)

2. Reserve his decision (and simply doesn't make it or makes it against you now that you're not there to obstruct him to make the decision against you, so key is to object to any attempt to Reserve a Decision or Adjourn a Decision unless it is one "Sine Die" - permanently)
