Our Foreign Staff • 13 MARCH 2018

US secretary of state Rex Tillerson appeared to veer away from the official White House line last night to declare that Russia was probably behind an attempt to poison a former double agent, adding that the perpetrators should face punishment.

"We have full confidence in the UK's investigation and its assessment that Russia was likely responsible for the nerve agent attack that took place in Salisbury last week," Mr Tillerson said.

"We agree that those responsible - both those who committed the crime and those who ordered it - must face appropriately serious consequences. We stand in solidarity with our allies in the United Kingdom and will continue to coordinate closely our responses."

Sarah Sanders, President Donald Trump's spokeswoman stopped short of blaming Russia when asked repeatedly whether or not the US backs the UK's position on the alleged poisoning.

Before issuing his statement, Tillerson called his British counterpart Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson to discuss the investigation into last week's attempt to kill former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter in the southwest of England.

The National Security Advisor, General Mc Master will shortly be dismissed. The White House now knows for sure that he participated in the conspiracy hatched by the State Secretary, Rex Tillerson and the United Kingdom.

The White House's Chief of Staff, General John Kelly, could also be dismissed for not knowing how to control his team.

Boris Johnson: Lead UK Russophobe in Skripal Affair

by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org – Home – Stephen Lendman)

On Monday, UK Foreign Minister Johnson sought solidarity from his EU counterparts in Brussels against Russia in the alleged Skripal poisoning affair.

Shamefully, they concurred, issuing a statement saying:

"The European Union strongly condemns the attack that took place against Sergei and Yulia Skripal in Salisbury, UK on 4 March 2018, that also left a police officer seriously ill."

"The lives of many citizens were threatened by this reckless and illegal act. The European Union takes extremely seriously the UK Government's assessment that it is highly likely that the Russian Federation is responsible."

"The European Union is shocked at the offensive use of any military-grade nerve agent, of a type developed by Russia, for the first time on European soil in over 70 years."

"The use of chemical weapons by anyone under any circumstances is completely unacceptable and constitutes a security threat to us all."

Expect the increase of cyber attacks and threats of cyber attacks to kick off a new round of "warfare". Threats of cyber warfare and actual cyber warfare taking place cannot be verified by most people, so what these threats of cyber warfare do is to up the intensity of potential war. These types of cyber attacks if real, should also be looked at from the stand point of what Abel Danger has uncovered over the years in their invstigations: Man-In-the-Middle Attacks.
