The Ties That Bind Michael Bloomberg, Qatar and Radical Islam

October 28, 2014

Michael Bloomberg, in addition to having been Mayor of New York City and currently being a wealthy elitist Leftist, has ongoing ties to the Islamic world and Qatar. In fact, many of his regulatory moves and his philanthropy efforts are connected to one degree or another with Qatar and Islamic nations, causes and endeavors. Qatar, the reader should be reminded, is the host country of the Muslim Brotherhood and is the primary supporter of the Arab Spring, including the genocidal Islamic State.

Common Core is a huge, Progressive educational implementation in New York City which benefits Microsoft and a host of other businesses. Bloomberg is a major supporter of Common Core and strongly believes in it. So, incidentally (or not), does Qatar. One of Bloomberg's projects is the Fund for Public Schools, whose primary building block is Common Core. In 2013, Bloomberg Philanthropies donated $1,000,000 or more to this endeavor. George Soros and The Open Society Foundations also donated $1,000,000 or more. Qatar Foundation International, LLC donated somewhere between $100,000 and $499,999. The Qatar Foundation donates to educational causes that directly benefit Islam and Qatar. The Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development is a semi-private chartered, non-profit organization, founded in 1995 by Sheikh Hamad Bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Father Emir (the current Emir is His Highness Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani), and his second wife Mozah bint Nasser Al Missned. In addition to private funding, it is government-supported and partly government-funded.

The links between Bloomberg and the Qatar Foundation go even deeper. Vartan Gregorian and Michael Bloomberg attended the TIME Summit On Higher Education at the Time Warner Center on September 20, 2013 in New York City. This is significant on multiple fronts. Common Core is linked to Connect All Schools. The Department of State has partnered with the Connect All Schools program which is linked to Vartan Gregorian. He in turn, is connected in a myriad of ways to Barack Obama, not the least of which is that he is a member of the White House Fellowship Commission. Gregorian hails from Tabriz, Iran and is currently the President of Carnegie Corporation. More interestingly for Bloomberg is that Gregorian sits on the board of the Qatar Foundation International (QFI).

From Maggie's Notebook:
The Qatar Foundation International, or QFI, in 2011 partnered with the Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to facilitate matchmaking between classrooms in the U.S. and international schools through something called the "Connect All Schools" project.

QFI, funded by the Qatari government, explains on its website the initiative was founded in response to Obama's call in his June 2009 speech to the Arab world in Cairo, Egypt, to "create a new online network, so a young person in Kansas can communicate instantly with a young person in Cairo."

QFI relates how more than 100 U.S. schools and organizations have already connected on the interactive website. [* Public and Private schools.]

The stated goal of the initiative is to "connect every school in the U.S. with the world by 2016."…

WND reported last May the Qatar-based foundation awarded "Curriculum Grants" to seven U.S. schools and language organizations to "develop comprehensive and innovative curricula and teaching materials to be used in any Arabic language classroom."

QFI, based in Washington, D.C., is the U.S. branch of the Qatar Foundation, founded in 1995 by Qatar's ruling emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.

Thani is still the group's vice-chairman, while one of his three wives, Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, chairs the organization's board.

Thani also launched Al Jazeera in 1996 and served as the television network's chairman. Source: Counter-Jihad Report

In 2012, the nonprofit provided $250,000 for a three-year pilot project for Arabic language at P.S. 368 in Harlem, reports DNA info New York.
More:
The classes are voluntary this year, but next year, * all second through fifth grade students will be required to take Arabic as part of the curriculum.

The program is the first of its kind in New York City to integrate Arabic into an elementary school curriculum, organizers said.

The classes are a joint program between the Language Project and the Washington, D.C.-based, non-profit Qatar Foundation International.

"This is important because in the near future, Arabic is going to be a global language," Mamdouh added.

"These kids are like sponges the way they learn the pronunciation and the words.”

[* Emphasis added.]
It should be noted that Arabic grammar is based on the Quran and its verses. When studying Arabic grammar, there is no substitute for studying the Quran. Expecting that the Quran would not be a part of Arabic lessons, is akin to saying that the time-tested grade school "Speller" could be omitted when teaching English.

Bloomberg actively brought Qatar into New  York's classrooms and is forcing Arabic as a language on students via Common Core and the Qatar Foundation International.

Michael Bloomberg was also a supporter of the Ground Zero Mosque (the Cordoba House, which is now Park51 – a three story museum with a worship space). The Cordoba Center would have been a 13-story monument to Islam, that would have housed a bookstore, auditorium, basketball court and a mosque. It would have cost well in excess of $100 million. It was to be built on the site of the former Burlington Coat Factory, whose roof was destroyed by falling debris from the towers on 9/11, just 600 feet from where the towers stood. Set to have replaced the current al-Farah mosque located 12 blocks north in Tribeca, the project was the inspiration of Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf, whose father built the enormous 96th St. complex in 1984 and who proclaims himself a peacemaker.

The Center earned endorsements from then New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and prominent rabbis, along with funding from the Hunt Alternative Fund, the Carnegie Foundation, the Rockefeller Fund (whose director of grants programs, Taleb Salhab, founded the Coalition for Peace and Justice in Palestine and is the former director of the Palestine Aid Society of America) and the government of Qatar. On the 10th anniversary of 9/11, Bloomberg refused to allow clergy to attend the event. He also did not want the names of those murdered on that fateful day read and he banned first responders on the same anniversary. All in the name of not offending Muslims and Islam.

Bloomberg has also notably instilled variants of Sharia law in NYC via allowing exceptions for prayer times regardless of job affiliation. The Call to Prayer rings out in Manhattan these days as well and the number of mosques in NYC has literally exploded over the last few years. Many of which receive funds from Qatar.

Bloomberg has offices in Doha and across the Middle East. In fact, Bloomberg and Qatar are financially connected in many ways. Witness the Bloomberg Doha Conference. The focus of the joint conference in the past was on the condition of various industries in Middle Eastern countries. The topics of discussion included the state of the economies in these countries, the condition of oil and energy production companies, and industries and companies most suitable for investment in, among other topics.

This year, the Bloomberg Doha Conference will take place from November 3rd through the 4th in Doha, Qatar. The conference will cover areas such as setting the agenda; the global perspective; regional landscape; transition of power; the new Qatari leadership; a conversation with Sir Michael Hintze; Islamic finance; real estate; Saudi energy markets and geopolitics; Iran, Syria and regional political stability; asset allocation; where are the opportunities in the region; traditional versus alternative, wealth preservation for the new generation; World Cup spending and development; regulation and the role this plays for managers looking at the region; investment destinations outside the Middle East and following the money. All of this indicates a strong, intrinsic financial and strategic relationship between Bloomberg and Qatar.

Did Common Core Standards Originate from Qatar? Are They Really 'State Led'?

As seen in Qatar. Good sculpture. THINK about where Common Core originated, who is funding it and why.

by Gretchen Logue • Common CoreCurriculum
October 24, 2014

Those who care to independently research the Common Core State Standards Initiative know about the four assurances contained in the State Stabilization Fund that states signed on to in 2009 for stimulus money. This is not a new discovery for researchers trying to determine why states adopted a common set of standards and increased data tracking. They are aware the data mining for students and teachers are coming (if not already in place) due to the signed agreement. They aren't fazed when the Core-ites (CCSS supporters) attempt to make fun of them (concerned parents, taxpayers and those concerned with constitutional overreach) because they can provide the documentation showing the agreement for data tracking and transfer. It's hard to argue with a notice from a governmental website about the mandates the states signed on to and what obligations the promise of money entails.

Missouri teachers don't like Amendment 3, the current amendment on the ballot which ties student test scores to teacher assessments. These are the assessments written by the private non-governmental organizations (NGOs) taken by students which will dictate a significant percentage of a teacher's rating of 'effective' or 'non-effective'. Just how do these teachers think these assessments and evaluations will be tracked? Connect the dots, teachers. This data tracking was expanded via mandates on the Four Assurances which includes a common set of standards, aka Common Core Standards, aka Missouri Learning Standards. If teachers want to practice their critical thinking, this is a research project they might want to understand before they go appear as hecklers in meetings defending the same standards that tie them into a common tracking model.

Now expand the research. Where exactly did Common Core originate? It is copyrighted by NGA/CCSSO, private organizations, not governmental entities. This is an important FACT that many Core-ites tend to gloss over. These organizations have no legislative authority to craft copyrighted states and it is questionable and currently being litigated if elected/appointed officials had the authority to cede a state's legal responsibility to belong to a consortia that is now taxpayer funded. Where did NGA/CCSSO receive their research and data to write these standards?

The PR talking points are many but consistently lack citations to determine if they are fact or fiction. Flash back to the 'internationally benchmarked' claim of the CCSSI when it was first unveiled. This claim has been withdrawn by the private NGOs. The standards were never internationally benchmarked and when CCSSO could not provide the research and data to validate that claim, it morphed into the standards being 'internationally informed'. So why would Core-ites actually smirk at this documented research of those opposed to the Initiative? Why are educators 'misinformed' (a charge they freely toss around at parents and those in CCSS opposition) to the truth? Is it that their truth is wrapped up in soundbites and PR talking points? Remember this article from MEW asking for validation of this claim of CCSS research?:

When researching this claim by Mr. Dunn (who never did answer the emails) I discovered a connection between the Rand Corporation, Qatar school assessments and Common Core. The Rand Corporation published a paper about the necessity of Common Core in Department of Defense schools and has interesting research (is this the 20 years of research Mr. Dunn refers to) from Qatar and other foreign countries. Is this what is driving the CCSS reform movement in the United States? After all, what is common in DoDEA schools in common core is common in all schools adopting a common set of standards and practices:

So the idea that CCSS is 'state led' is a misnomer. Implementation is being driven from other countries on 'what works' and 'what doesn't'. Decisions on reform and implementation, remember, is being made by private NGOs, not your state or local school board.

Do you still believe and hear the Core-ite talking point that 'it's just standards' and won't drive curriculum?

Common Core Ties to Libya, Qatar, Saudi Arabia

April 20, 2015
by Bethany Blankley

"Where did Common Core come from?" is a question I often hear from parents as I travel the country speaking about the Islamic infiltration of America.

Because in 2014-15 America, public school students via Common Core are:
• Participating in public school-sponsored trips to mosques via taxpayer expense, girls must wear head scarves (Colorado parents complain)

• Debating whether or not the Holocaust was "merely a political scheme created to influence public emotion and gain," (an eighth-grade assignment defended by the Rialto Unified School District, Los Angeles)

Pledging allegiance in Arabic (New York)

• Observing two "Muslim holy days," (New York City)

• Being taught Islamic vocabulary lessons (North Carolina)

• Being taught Islamic culture (Tennessee)

• Being taught world history from Islamic perspective (Florida) that includes learning about the five pillars of Islam (Maryland father, a Marine Corps veteran, complains and is banned from school grounds)

• Told to proselytize by creating a pamphlet about Islam to "introduce Islam to 3rd graders" that introduces Allah to children as the same God of the Christians and Jews (Michigan)

• Reciting in class the Shahada, "There is No God but Allah," and the Muslim call to prayer (Massachusetts)
Parents in every state are outraged, protesting and asking, "Why is Islam being taught in public schools?" and "How did this happen?" "Where is the ACLU?" "Where are the people 'protesting against’ religion being taught in public schools?"

Bethany Blankley - "85% of Congress Guilty of Treason"

Common Core origins

The short answer is that President Obama's push for "hope and change" translates into completely transforming America — for the worse. Common Core is but one of many parts of an intricate plan to infiltrate every area of American society with Islam. Which is why, Common Core's origin and funding came from Qatar, Libya and Saudi Arabia.

Globally, Common Core originated from the "One World Education" concept, a global goal orchestrated by the Connect All Schools program. Its origin is funded by the Qatar Foundation International (QFI). The director of QFI's Research Center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics is Tariq Ramadan, grandson of Muslim Brotherhood founder, Hassan al-Banna.

According to the WND website, in 2011, QFI "partnered with the Department of State and the U.S. Department of Education to facilitate matchmaking between classrooms in the U.S. and international schools through … the 'Connect All Schools' project." QFI states on its website that the initiative was founded in response to Mr. Obama's infamous 2009 Cairo speech, during which the Muslim Brotherhood was seated in the front row.

Mr. Obama's mentor, domestic terrorist Bill Ayers, received $49.2 million from Vartan Gregorian, a board member of the Qatar Foundation, who also is involved with Mr. Obama's White House Fellowships Commission. Gregorian is an integral part of Connect All Schools, through which Qatar invested $5 million to teach Arabic in American public schools.

Common Core – The Qatar Connection: A Wahhabi State Skypes With Your Children – Connect All Schools

by Maggie • August 24, 2013 • 0 Comments

The acronyms for America's New World Order education are mind-numbing – all the better to keep you from connecting who is connected to who/whom/which. First, I have found one source that connects Common Core Initiative Standards (CCIS) to "Connect All Schools," and that is on the "Connect All Schools" website page titled One World Education (OWE). Second, our Department of Defense (DOD) has partnered with the Connect All Schools program. Connect All Schools is connected to Vartan Gregorian. Gregorian is connected to Barack Obama in numerous ways, including as a member of the White House Fellowship Commission. Gregorian was born in Tabriz, Iran to Armenian parents. He came to the U.S. in 1956 to study at Stanford. He became a naturalized American citizen in about 1979. He graduated Stanford University, is currently the president of Carnegie Corporation and is a former president of Brown University in Rhode Island. Pertinent to this article is his seat on the board of The Qatar Foundation International (QFI).

About one year ago, Qatar dedicated a new mosque. The event was widely seen as the initial steps to reviving their Wahhabi heritage. You should be concerned about Qatar's influence in American education. Wahhabi-ists have one goal and that is the spread of Islam worldwide.

QFI, based in Washington, D.C., is the U.S. branch of the Qatar Foundation, founded in 1995 by Qatar’s ruling emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani. [AD Note: it is alleged Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani continues to hold a grudge against America carried on through his family ancestry going back to the Barbary pirates when Thomas Jefferson had the US Navy bombard Doha, Qatar. See video discussion below.]

Thani is still the group's vice-chairman, while one of his three wives, Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, chairs the organization's board.

Thani also launched Al Jazeera in 1996 and served as the television network's chairman. Source: Counter-Jihad Report
Qatar is skyping with your children across the U.S.
In January 2012, it [QFI] launched the Research Center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics under the guidance of Tariq Ramadan, who serves as the center's director.

Ramadan is the grandson of the notorious founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, Hassan al Banna. Ramadan was banned from the U.S. until 2010 when the Obama administration issued him a visa to give a lecture at a New York school.

QFI, meanwhile, named several institutions after Yusuf al-Qaradawi, one of the top leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood. Many regard Qaradawi as the de facto spiritual leader of Egypt's Muslim Brotherhood.

The foundation instituted the Sheikh Yusuf Al Qaradawi Scholarships and in 2009 established a research center named the Qaradawi Center for Islamic Moderation and Renewal…

The Investigative Project on Terrorism documents Qardawi openly permitted the killing of American troops in Iraq and praised the "heroic deeds" of "Hamas, Jihad, Al-Aqsa Brigades and others." Source: Counter-Jihad Report (more here on the Gregorian-Ayers-Obama connection)
Vartan Gregorian

Gregorian also serves on the board of Human Rights Watch which issued the appalling Goldstone Report accusing Israel of war crimes. [AD note: This comment requires a bit more investigation because the accusations are very credible.]

Tariq Ramadan, the grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood is mentioned above and as a reminder is the head of the fairly new QFI Research Center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics (Islamic "legislation" where?) The following is a profile from one of my previous posts (as you'll see below, Arizona should pay attention):

Tariq Ramadan
Tariq Ramadan: Bush administration bans him, Obama administration throws down the welcome mat. April 2010 Tariq Ramadan is the son of Said Ramadan (see above) and the grandson of Muslim Brotherhood founder Hassan al-Banna. In 2004, Tariq Ramadan received a tenured position of Henry R. Luce Professor of Religion, Conflict and Peace-Building at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana. Two months later the Bush State Department revoked the visa on grounds of terrorist ties under the "ideological exclusion provision" of the Patriot Act. The university attempted to help Ramadan regain his visa with no success. Ramadan resigned the position in December 2004…

In January 2010 Secretary of State Hillary Clinton lifted the ban on Tariq Ramadan’s presence on American soil. By 2010, America was no longer under the threat of "terrorism." Tariq Ramadan came to the U.S.

Atlas Shrugs provides a transcript of Tariq Ramadan speaking in Dallas at a fundraiser for the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), asking young Muslims to "colonize" the U.S.

It should be us, with our understanding of Islam, our principles, colonizing positively the United States of America.
We don't want the West to be destructed. What we want is the West to be reformed. Source

Arizona receives $465,000 grant from the Qatar Foundation International (QFI)?
According to Tucson News Now, the governing board of the Tucson Unified School District asked the school board to accept a $465,000 curriculum grant from the Qatar Foundation International, a global philanthropic organization with strong ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, the parent organization of the terrorist group Hamas, and behind much of the unrest in the Middle East.

The Muslim Brotherhood has been associated with Islam-biased K-12 textbooks identified by Citizens for National Security(CFNS) and Act for America. The textbooks in the CFNS study contained pro-Islamic misinformation, and material that provided negative misinformation about Israel, Judaism, and Christianity. The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), also connected to Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood has targeted American schools and other public institutions for indoctrination…

The grant money is intended to implement "innovative curricula and teaching materials to be used in any Arabic language classroom," reports the Arizona Daily Independent. Two Tucson schools, Safford K-8 Magnet School and Cholla High Magnet School, will be the recipients of the terror-infested cash, according to Tucson News Now.

About 100 students at Cholla High Magnet School are learning Arabic. At Safford K-8 Magnet School, 125 students are learning the language.

Last year's grant for Arabic language from the Qatar Foundation was $55,000.

A handful of similar programs funded by the Qatar charity exist in other American cities. In 2012, for example, the nonprofit provided $250,000 for a three-year pilot project for Arabic language at P.S. 368 in Harlem, reports DNA info New York. Source
If you click the link 'reports' in the line above you'll see the following:

Vartan Gregorian's connections to Barack Obama goes back to the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC). Gregorian picked Bill Ayers for the project, and Ayers selected Barack Obama to direct the funding of Ayers' Small Schools Workshop via CAC.
