Marine Links Jarrett’s Same-Sex Man-In-the-Middle to the Spectrum Libor Fraud

U.S. Marine Field McConnell has linked Valerie Jarrett – White House sponsor of same-sex relationships between women and girls (cf. Hull House) – to a man-in-the-middle attack with a Spectrum app on Jerry del Missier, the former Barclays Canadian executive who set up the Libor rate-rigging fraud.

McConnell claims that Jarrett’s Femme Comp agents entrapped del Missier with child pornography transmitted to his Spectrum app or its predecessors and then extorted his man-in-the-middle support for Libor frauds designed to give the same-sex friends of the Obama White House global opportunities to bet on manipulated rates fed through Thomson Reuters.

“The Barclays Mobile Banking smartphone app is coming”

“Bob Diamond To Get Rough Ride From MPs .. Sky News – 1 hour 40 minutes ago Barclays has submitted a copy of a note, sent from Mr Diamond on 30 October 2008 to Mr del Missier, and then chief executive John Varley, recounting his conversation with Paul Tucker, to the committee. Mr Diamond said Mr Tucker had flagged concerns from senior figures in Whitehall over why Barclays was always towards the top end of Libor pricing. Mr Diamond wrote: "His (Mr Tucker's) response was 'you have to pay what you have to pay'." Mr Diamond said he asked Mr Tucker to explain to his Whitehall contacts that other banks were providing Libor quotes that did not represent real transactions. The US banker then said Mr Tucker told him the bank's Libor rate did not "always" need to appear as high as it had recently. Barclays added: "Subsequent to the call, Bob Diamond relayed the contents of the conversation to Jerry del Missier.

"Bob Diamond did not believe he received an instruction from Paul Tucker or that he gave an instruction to Jerry del Missier. "However, Jerry del Missier concluded that an instruction had been passed down from the Bank of England not to keep Libors so high and he therefore passed down a direction to that effect to the submitters." Barclays said there was no allegation by the authorities that this instruction was intended to manipulate the ultimate rate and the bank's submissions had consistently been excluded from the final Libor calculation. The FSA investigated Jerry del Missier personally in relation to these events and closed the investigation without taking any enforcement action, Barclays added. Mr Diamond, who was once dubbed the "unacceptable face of banking" by Peter Mandelson, remained defiant in his resignation statement.”

“Barclays pioneers first mobile app for lesbian and gay staff

Barclays is one of the first big global companies to launch a smartphone app to support lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender staff. Peter Lloyd

Barclays is one of the first big global companies to launch a smartphone app to support lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender staff.

The new Barclays Spectrum app will help staff stay in touch and is free to download from the Apple App Store and Android Marketplace. Staff can access an exclusive members area, which provides details of upcoming events, news articles and links to Spectrum’s social media presence on Facebook and Twitter.

Barclays Spectrum is an award winning network for LGBT staff – but to date active membership has been centred around the company's largest employment ‘hubs’ such as Canary Wharf, Northampton and Radbroke in Cheshire.

However over 18,000 Barclays staff are also spread across the country working in branches and contact centres and who don’t necessarily have access to a PC or Spectrum’s intranet site at work, which is where the new app can help.

Antony Jenkins, Chief Executive of Barclays Retail and Business Banking said: “Barclays is proud of our work to support LGBT staff because we can only be a great business if talented people from all sexual orientations are contributing to our team.

“We have already been rated the top financial services employer in the UK by Stonewall – and with the new Spectrum app staff right across our branch network will be able to interact, stay informed and find out what support is available to them.”

Natalie O’Donnell, Barclays Demand and MI Manager and Midlands Regional Lead for Spectrum, led in the development of the app, and said: “It was a huge challenge, but we wanted to embrace technology to enable greater and easier access to Spectrum for colleagues. I'm incredibly proud of how Barclays has supported this project and our ongoing commitment of bringing innovative ideas to our diversity and inclusion strategy.”

Barclays Spectrum is the company’s network for LGBT staff and was named Employee Network of the Year at the annual Stonewall Awards announced in January 2011. The app is launched as Barclays Spectrum marks its 10th anniversary this year.

Barclays was also named one of the top three UK employers for LGBT people in the Annual Stonewall Workplace Equality Index in January 2012. The index assessed more than 370 public and private organisations on a number of measures, including how they implement equality policies and their performance on recruitment and mentoring.

By pioneering this new app Barclays aims to become not just the best financial services company in the UK but the employer of choice for LGBT people.

The new app follows hot on the heels of the highly successful Barclays Pingit app – the UK’s first service that allows people to send and receive money simply by knowing each other’s mobile number, without the need for bank details.”

“Our success Ensuring diversity and inclusion is always going to be a priority due to the constantly evolving nature of the societies we work within. Therefore we are on a journey, but here are some of our successes to date. GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network Award (25 May 2011) [Allegedly sponsored by Jarrett’s Femme Comp associates and their same-sex clients in the White House] On Monday May 23, Jerry del Missier accepted a 'Commitment to Diversity and Inclusion' award on behalf of the firm from GLSEN, the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network. The award recognized the work of Spectrum, the firm's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender employee network. "It is our responsibility as adults, parents, teachers, business leaders – and simply members of the community – to do all that we can to make sure that each student in every school is valued and respected, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity. By partnering with GLSEN, we are demonstrating our commitment to this cause,” Jerry said. GLSEN is a non-profit organization which seeks to develop school climates where difference is valued for the positive contribution it makes in creating a more vibrant and diverse community. Over the past year, Spectrum's work has led the firm to achieve several milestones, including becoming the first financial services company in the USA to introduce a tax reimbursement for same-sex domestic partner benefits. Spectrum also hosted first-ever events for the New York financial services community with Christine Quinn, the Speaker of New York City Council, and with David Boies, one of the lawyers fighting Proposition 8 in California. Accepting the award in front of more than one thousand colleagues, peers and clients, Jerry also pointed to Spectrum's success in becoming the #1 fundraising team in AIDS Walk NY this month. "That sense of leadership by our employees is one of the reasons that Barclays Capital is such a great place to work, and it's one of the reasons why our clients choose to do business with us." Earlier this month in Asia, Spectrum launched a mentoring program for lesbian, gay, bi-sexual or transgender (LGBT) staff in the region. And in the UK, Spectrum was voted employee network of the year in 2010 and was ranked as a top 10 employer for LGBT individuals.”

“Diversity and Inclusion Barclays Capital recognises the importance of attracting, retaining, and developing diverse world-class professionals. We identify, foster and reward all talent, valuing and leveraging the diversity amongst our people to offer our clients creative and innovative solutions.
